Hooking Up (Shacking Up, #2)

Hooking Up by Helena Hunting

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

April 12-23
Amalie Whitfield is the picture of a blushing bride during her wedding reception ― but for all the wrong reasons. Instead of proclaiming his undying love, her husband can be heard, by Amalie and their guests, getting off with someone else. She has every reason to freak out, and in a moment of insanity, she throws herself at the first hot-blooded male she sees. But he’s not interested in becoming her revenge screw.

Mortified and desperate to escape the post-wedding drama, Amalie decides to go on her honeymoon alone, only to find the man who rejected her also heading to the same tiny island for work. But this time he isn’t holding back. She should know better than to sleep with someone she knows, but she can’t seem to resist him. They might agree that what happens on the island should stay on the island, but neither one can deny that their attraction is more than just physical.

Review : I loved this book it was crazy and funny . Amalie gets cheated on at her wedding which was insane so she wants to get the fuck out but finds lex in her wedding room and mostly tackles him to the ground and kisses him . Amalie goes on her honeymoon alone but she gets stopped by security because of her special toys lex was their to help her out and they end up sitting next to each other. Armstrong shows up Amalie wants to get an annulment but Armstrong wont sign the papers cause hes a piece of shit . Lex picks her up and takes her to his hotel and they start having sex I love lex and Amalie together. I felt so bad for Amalie cause Armstrong was a dick I knew he was a dick in the first book but turns out he and lex have always been in competition and lex saw Amalie first but Armstrong swooped in fucking dick. So after lex and Amalie get home they stop hooking up ruby and bane get engaged yay and lex wants to date Amalie but they do it in secret until the annulment is final . At the engagement party Armstrong finds his way there and starts to threaten Amalie fucking asshole he is and tries to get in her head about lex . Lex explains everything. The annulment is final cause if they divorced Armstrong would of had to pay her . Lex and Amalie get to be together officially . Bane and Ruby’s wedding happens I loved it onto to the next one .

Quotes

I get it. I know I’m irresistible.” My laugh comes out a sob. His lips touch my cheek. “No was the very last thing I wanted to say to you.”

Divorce could be quick.” I flinch—divorce is such an ugly word in our world. “He cheated on me less than twelve hours into our marriage. It hasn’t and won’t ever be consummated.” He clears his throat and taps his pen on the table. “Right. Okay. So we’ll proceed with the annulment, which is option two. We’ll cite it as fraudulent, since he entered the marriage without the intention of upholding fidelity.” I snort. “That’s a nice way of putting it. Is there an option three?” “Hire a hitman and dump the body in the river, but there’s a lot of loose ends there and it’s sort of a legal nightmare.” I smile at his horrible attempt at legal humor.

sip my bubbly, watching curiously as he reaches into his messenger bag and pulls out a small case. Flipping it open, he withdraws a pair of glasses and slides them on. Dear sweet lord of all things panty melting, this has to be the sexiest man to ever walk the planet. The only thing that would make him sexier would be if he was holding a puppy, or better yet, a baby. “I didn’t know you wore glasses.

“Amalie. You can’t—” Armstrong tries to sit up, but he doesn’t seem to be able to coordinate the movement. “Shut up. Just shut the fuck up. I’m not done.” When he remains silent she continues. “The fact that you wanted me to act like your virgin bride every time we had sex was demeaning and I’ve been faking my orgasms for months. Also, your penis is small. It’s the smallest penis I’ve ever ridden. Or tried to ride. In fact, half the time I wasn’t even sure you were in. And you’re a premature ejaculator. I hope Brittany and whoever else you put your dick in enjoy their two minutes of humping followed by your horrifying orgasms. Let’s go, Lex.”

Lex is just sexy period. Sexy Lexy is what I call him in my head

Bane’s lip curls and he claps a palm on the back of Armstrong’s neck, holding tight and getting in close. “You might want to keep your voice down, unless you’d like your nose broken again. I promise, cousin, no amount of surgery will make your face pretty again when I’m done

You’re ruining my engagement party because you can’t let shit go. I get that it’s hard for you to grasp that the world doesn’t revolve around you, but this isn’t the time or the place to air your grievances, or plead your case with Amie.” “I can’t get to her any other way. Everyone has made it impossible otherwise.” “And why do you think that is, Armstrong?” He peeks out from behind Bane. “Fuck you, Lexington. You can’t have what’s mine.” “Can I just punch him?” I look to my brother

I’m in love with her.” His frowns and hesitates. “I love her,” I repeat. “You better not be saying that just to avoid getting punched in the face.

Book Review: Let’s get textual Tegan Hunter

Let's Get Textual (Texting, #1)

Let’s Get Textual by Teagan Hunter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 12-15

A wrong number is supposed to be just that—a wrong number.

Delete. Done.

Do not continue to text. Do not flirt.

A wrong number shouldn’t be the first person on your mind in the morning, or the last at night…and you’re definitely not supposed to talk them into buying a baby goat.

Because that would be weird.

When Zach Hastings and I get into a wrong-number mix-up, we don’t follow the rules. We keep texting and flirting, because he’s wicked funny and perfectly nerdy and a wonderful distraction.

I’m not looking for love, and Zach definitely had the wrong number.

But maybe…

Maybe he’s the right guy.

Review : I loved this book it was so cute and funny . Delia ends up breaking up with her boyfriend who is better as friend than a boyfriend and then she gets a wrong number who turns out to be zach and they have great conversation and they talk a lot . They have phone movie nights until her best friend makes her ask Zach out and they go on an amazing date . Zach got a freaking baby goat as a pet named marshmallow awwwwwwwwwwwww . Things are going great until they go to his parents house for thanksgiving everything was perfect until Delia found out Zach’s step brother is a guy who fucked her friend and left and he’s a total dick . Then Delia’s ex boyfriend tells her a photo got out and he only knew it was her cause they dated and Delia thinks Zach did it but after she gets home and is crying over ice cream her ex and her best friend tell her it was probally Zach’s step brother cause that didn’t sound like zach as a person this part made me mad i’m like comunicate with each other Delia and her best friend goat nap marshmallow Zach and Delia make up I loved this book .

Quotes :
Zach: How come when I order a large pizza for myself for lunch I receive one of “those” looks from the delivery guy? Me: Wait, wait, wait…you work from home? Zach: Yes, but not the point. Let’s focus on the pizza delivery guy and his sassy stares here. Me: Well I imagine you’re answering the door in your pajamas with uncombed hair, so you appear all sad and heartsick…or just sick. Or weird. Or a creeper. Yeah, you know what, you DO look like a creeper. Zach: I would take offense, but you’re probably right. Me: Probably? Zach: That’s the story I’m sticking with. Me: I think the point of view on your story is skewed. Zach: YOU’RE SKEWED. Zach: God. That was awful. Forget I sent that. Me: screenshot Zach: You’re evil. I knew there was at least one redeeming quality about you. Me: And what about my smart mouth? Zach: You’re right—one and a half. Me: I’ll take my winnings where I can.

Zach: Yes? Me: I…I didn’t mean to bring up your mom. I had no idea. Zach: Don’t sweat it. You’re still my favorite penis potholder maker…this week. Me: Is there anything else I should know about you? Any other subjects that are off the table? Zach: I hate clowns and bunnies. That’s about it. Me: I’m sorry…BUNNIES?! How is that possible? Zach: Don’t judge me. I’m sure there’s something weird out there that you’re afraid of.

“Are you going to touch your dick the entire night? On the couch? Because other people sit there too, ya know. Don’t be uncouth. It’s not cool, man.” “I’m not touching my dick.” “But are you thinking about touching your dick?” I hear the other guy in the room snap his fingers. “Ah ha! Hesitation! You were thinking about touching your dick.” “Oh my god. This could not possibly be more awkward,” Zach mumbles. “I don’t know, I think it could be worse,” I tell him. “Shut up,” he responds to me…I think. “No, you shut up. You’re the one who ditched us tonight,” his friend chimes in. I snicker and hear Zach groan. “I didn’t ditch you, Robbie.” “You did. You ditched us for your dick.” “I am not touching my dick!” I have a feeling that last statement was for Robbie and me. “Not right now, but you’re going to. I live with you—I know things about you.” Another groan from Zach. “This is the most awkward moment of my life.” “Does he not know I’m here?” I question. Zach doesn’t answer, and I’m assuming his buddy has no clue we’re on the phone. “Robbie, please, I am begging you to leave already…” “Why? Am I embarrassing you? Why are your cheeks so red?” I can hear the ticking from here… “Because I am on the phone with a woman, you moron!” Zach explodes like a bomb. “I have my Bluetooth in because we’re trying to watch a show.” I can imagine him sitting there, red-faced and waving his arms around in desperation, and the image is enough for me to laugh hysterically. “Knock it off!” “Knock what off?” Robbie questions. “Not you, her!” I laugh harder and Zach growls in my ear. “Are you watching the show, like, together?” “Yes!” “Aw, that’s the cutest, pussiest shit I have ever heard—ow! Stop throwing things!” Robbie yells. “Whatever. I’m outie. Don’t wait up, bitch.” A door clicks closed in the background and an exasperated sigh slips through Zach’s lips. “Can we hit play yet?” “Yeah, Zach, we can hit play, but can I ask you something first?” “Shoot.” “Are you really touching your dick?” Zach mutters a “Dammit, Delia” before saying, “I’m hitting play.”

Because I’ll let you touch my butt?” My body quakes with laughter the moment the words leave his mouth. “What? I’ll have you know I have a fantastic ass, Delia. You’ll want to touch it, and you’ll want to touch it often.”

Book Review : Jack of Hearts Lev A.C Rosen

Jack of Hearts (And Other Parts)

Jack of Hearts by Lev A.C. Rosen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dec 11 – Jan 23

Pretty Little Liars meets Dan Savage in this modern, fresh, YA debut about an unapologetically queer teen working to uncover a blackmailer threatening him back into the closet.

Jack has a lot of sex–and he’s not ashamed of it. While he’s sometimes ostracized, and gossip constantly rages about his sex life, Jack always believes that “it could be worse.”

But then, the worse unexpectedly strikes: When Jack starts writing a teen sex advice column for an online site, he begins to receive creepy and threatening love letters that attempt to force Jack to curb his sexuality and personality. Now it’s up to Jack an his best friends to uncover the stalker–before their love becomes dangerous.

Ground-breaking and page-turning, Jack of Hearts (and other parts) celebrates the freedom to be oneself, especially in the face of adversity.

Review : I loved this book this is about Jack who is gay and very open to have sex just no relationship he wants to have fun . His friend Jenna asks him to do a column on sex for her site and he finally agrees . He starts getting these pink notes and they start to freak him out they were creepy as fuck . They start get threatening his friends Jenna and Ben . And they get mad when he continues to hook up with more guys and he starts getting depressed . until one day when he’s in the boys bathroom and he hears the three girls who gossip about him one of them has paper cuts and he fugues it out it’s Caitlin first I didn’t expect it to be a girl . He records her confessing and gets her expelled good that girl had issues . Jack is back to his self and enjoying his life .

Quotes : “Jack?” Mom calls from outside my room. “You home?” “Just a sec, Mom,” I yell back. Peter stares at me, gives me a “what do I do?” look, and I just shake my head. I throw my sheets in a pile on the bed as Mom knocks on my door. “Mom, I have a friend over,” I say through the door. There’s a pause. Somehow I can hear the expression on her face. I look over at Peter, who’s gotten his clothes on, and shrug apologetically. He smiles—this is funny to him, now that he’s dressed. I open the door. My mom is standing right up against it, her expression matching Peter’s. “Hi,” she says, her voice innocent. She looks past me at Peter, who waves. “I’m Jack’s mom, Ruth.” “Hi,” Peter says, and to my relief no one offers to shake hands. Peter hasn’t washed his yet. “I’m Peter.” “Nice to meet you

I know it’s not the same—gay and asexual—but I want to tell you as someone who thought they were broken, and everyone was staring at them and knew, that you are not broken. Plus, you might not be asexual, you might just not be interested in sex now, or only be interested in sex with people once you know them and have a bond with them, or maybe you’re only turned on by a very particular kind of sex or fetish that you haven’t discovered. But as long as everyone is consenting, there’s nothing wrong with your desire, or with your not having desire. We’re all wired differently.

in that moment, I get to be me. And if you don’t like that, fuck off.

Book Review: The poet x Elizabeth Acevedo

The Poet X

The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jan 4-12

A young girl in Harlem discovers slam poetry as a way to understand her mother’s religion and her own relationship to the world. Debut novel of renowned slam poet Elizabeth Acevedo.

Xiomara Batista feels unheard and unable to hide in her Harlem neighborhood. Ever since her body grew into curves, she has learned to let her fists and her fierceness do the talking.

But Xiomara has plenty she wants to say, and she pours all her frustration and passion onto the pages of a leather notebook, reciting the words to herself like prayers—especially after she catches feelings for a boy in her bio class named Aman, who her family can never know about. With Mami’s determination to force her daughter to obey the laws of the church, Xiomara understands that her thoughts are best kept to herself.

So when she is invited to join her school’s slam poetry club, she doesn’t know how she could ever attend without her mami finding out, much less speak her words out loud. But still, she can’t stop thinking about performing her poems.

Because in the face of a world that may not want to hear her, Xiomara refuses to be silent

Review : I loved this book I highly reccomend the audiobook . Xiomara is a teenager who is going through a lot her body has changed a lot her mother has all these religious views and xiomara doesn’t know what she believes anymore she meets this guy who she really likes but shit goes real when her mom finds out . this book is told in verse and I love verse books and the audiobook is read by the author and it was a beautifully written book . Xiomara finds out her twin brother is gay . Xiomara joins the poetry club where she gets to let out her emotions . after a big blow up with her family Xiomara calls the guy again and they start talking again . And she has her family priest help with her family to help them all talk this out . Xiomara finally performs her poem at the slam event . I believe everyone she read this book .
The only issue I have with this book is the religion and physical abuse aspect and it didn’t really get resolved .

Quotes :And I think about all the things we could be
if we were told our bodies were not built for them

When your body takes up more room than your voice you are always the target of well-aimed rumors,

“And isn’t that what a poem is? A lantern glowing in the dark.

Book Review: Harry Potter and the half-blood prince J.K Rowling

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The war against Voldemort is not going well; even Muggle governments are noticing. Ron scans the obituary pages of the Daily Prophet, looking for familiar names. Dumbledore is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches of time, and the Order of the Phoenix has already suffered losses.
And yet…

As in all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate — and lose a few eyebrows in the process. The Weasley twins expand their business. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Classes are never straightforward, though Harry receives some extraordinary help from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

So it’s the home front that takes center stage in the multilayered sixth installment of the story of Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry will search for the full and complex story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort — and thereby find what may be his only vulnerability.

Review : I freaking loved this book I cried and laughed so the war on voldemort is going on Dumbledore picks up harry at his house and ends up talking to the dursly’s which was hilarious I love Dumbledore . Harry and Dumbledore visit this old professor to convince him to teach back at Hogwarts and Harry does . Dumbledore ends up teaching a lot to harry during this year he ends up showing Harry a lot of memories of people dealing with voldemort . Harry thinks Draco is up to something . Snape makes the unbreakable vow to help Draco . While taking potions Harry finds this potion book in class with notes from the Half blood prince that help him in class . Harry and Dumbledore are trying to get this memory from slughorn so harry uses felix felicis to help him get the memory and he gets it and goes to dumbledore . Ron ends up starting dating this girl named Lavender, Herminne is jealous like ugh just be together already and Harry is starting to have feelings for Ginny . Ron eats these chocolates filled with love potion from a girl who sent them to Harry . So Harry goes to slughorn to have him help and they have a glass of meed to celebrate ron’s birthday but it was poisoned but Ron was okay . griffindore wins there last quiditch match and Harry kisses Ginny . Dumbledore asks harry to help him find this horcrux and they get it and Dumbledore has to drink this stuff which is pretty much poison and he’s loosing his mind and they get back and Draco is there planning to kill Dumbledore but snape kills him and I was sobbing and angry ugh I hate snape .

Quotes :

Do you remember me telling you we are practicing non-verbal spells, Potter?”
“Yes,” said Harry stiffly.
“Yes, sir.”
“There’s no need to call me “sir” Professor.”
The words had escaped him before he knew what he was saying.”

You’d think people had better things to gossip about,” said Ginny as she sat on the common room floor, leaning against Harry’s legs and reading the Daily Prophet. “Three Dementor attacks in a week, and all Romilda Vane does is ask me if it’s true you’ve got a Hippogriff tattooed across your chest.”
Ron and Hermione both roared with laughter. Harry ignored them.
What did you tell her?”
I told her it’s a Hungarian Horntail,” said Ginny, turning a page of the newspaper idly. “Much more macho.”
Thanks,” said Harry, grinning. “And what did you tell her Ron’s got?”
A Pygmy Puff, but I didn’t say where.”

Sometimes you remind me a lot of James. He called it my ‘furry little problem’ in company. Many people were under the impression that I owned a badly behaved rabbit.

What do I care how ‘e looks? I am good-looking enough for both of us, I theenk! All these scars show is zat my husband is brave!”

Book Review: A darker shade of magic V.E Schwab

A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1)

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 12- August 18

Kell is one of the last Antari—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.

Kell was raised in Arnes—Red London—and officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.

Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see. It’s a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand.

After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they’ll first need to stay alive.

Review: Finally I finished this book I loved this book and the Writing . this book is about kell who is one of the last Antari which means he can travel to the other Londons
Red which he is from
Gray
White
And black which doesn’t exist anymore

Kell is tricked into getting this stone which is pure darkness but he was pickpocketed by lila bard a thief . He finds her takes the stone back but holland finds lila the other Antari and he wants to know where kell is he tries to hurt lila and kell comes and they escape from holland. They go to red London where kell is taken because one of the white London psycho has brainwashed people and taken over rhy body and ends up stabbing him and kills him but kell links his life to his . Kell and lila kill Astrid and athos and destroy the stone . And lila gets her ship. Loved this book can’t wait to continue the series.

Quotes :Kell wore a very peculiar coat.
It had neither one side, which would be conventional, nor two, which would be unexpected, but several, which was, of course, impossible.
The first thing he did whenever he stepped out of one London and into another was take off the coat and turn it inside out once or twice (or even three times) until he found the side he needed. Not all of them were fashionable, but they each served a purpose. There were ones that blended in and ones that stood out, and one that served no purpose but of which he was just particularly fond.” .”

“I’d rather die on an adventure than live standing still.”

I’m not going to die,” she said. “Not till I’ve seen it.”
“Seen what?”
Her smile widened. “Everything.

What are you?” she asked.
“A monster,” said Kell hoarsely. “You’d better let me go.”
The girl gave a small, mocking laugh. “Monsters don’t faint in the presence of ladies.”
“Ladies don’t dress like men and pick pockets,” retorted Kell.
Her smile only sharpened. “What are you really?”
“Tied to your bed,” said Kell matter-of-factly.”
“And?”
His brow furrowed. “And in trouble.

Delilah Bard,” she said. “We’ve met before. And you looked worse.”
Rhy laughed silently. “I apologize for anything I might have done. I was not myself.”
“I apologize for shooting you in the leg,” said Lila. “I was myself entirely.”
Rhy broke into his perfect smile. “I like this one,” he said to Kell. “Can I borrow her?”
“You can try,” said Lila, raising a brow. “But you’ll be a prince without his fingers

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family–a chilling tale of deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.

Review : This book was crazy these people are kinda fucked up . Anne and Marco left there baby at home alone and when they come back the door is open and the baby isn’t there . Anne calls the cops and the detective is trying to find out what’s going on . Anne has postpartum depression and the detective thinks Anne and Marco might of killed her . The detective asks why they left the baby alone and they explain the neighbor didn’t want the baby there . I hated Cynthia she complained Anne wasn’t fun because she had a baby like what the fuck . So apparently Marco’s business wasn’t doing well and he went to Anne’s father for a loan and he said no so when drinking one night a guy comes up to Marco and they talk about doing a fake kidnapping so he kidnapped his own daughter mostly WTF but then the guy shows up dead . Anne’s father was actually involved cause he wanted to leave his wife but he knew he had no money so he was arrested . Anne gets Cora back . Anne goes next door to talk to Cynthia she was having an affair with her father and Cynthia says the baby should of died and Anne freaking kills her but doesn’t remember that how it ends WTF .

Quotes :

Unless I’m looking to draw attention to my pleasure center, I think I’m going to have to pick another option.” “It wouldn’t hurt. Bancroft is hot, and from what I’ve heard he has an excellent skill set in the bedroom.”

Well, you sure did screw my mouth. At first I think those words are in my head, until I watch his eyebrows rise. “I screwed your mouth?” “Uh. With your tongue. When you kissed me, with tongue. You screwed—” Oh God, Ruby, stop talking. “My mouth. With your tongue.” And he did it, very, very well. My lady parts agree with this assessment,

Oh man. He’s going to change his shirt. In front of me. In an enclosed space. I wonder if I have enough time to grab my phone and snap a couple of pictures as he pulls the Harvard tee over his head.

A rugby-playing reader, now that’s sexy.

Quotes
“I am contacting you because our queen wished to send a summons to ‘the shiny man who is Simon’s friend.’ That is a quote. She adds that she supports you and she is a fan of much ‘yaoi manga.’ I have no idea what that means, and I never wish to know.

“Alec is brave, and he’s good, and he’s loyal, and like all Lightwoods he has cheekbones you could use to slice salami.

Book Review : A court of wings and ruin Sarah j. Maas

A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3)

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 2 2017 – may 11 2018
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

Review : I loved this book it was crazy so feyre is playing spy in the spring court and trying to pretend to love tamlin god even after reading this book I don’t hate his as much as I use to but he’s still a dick. Anyways feyre and Lucian are going back to the night court but they run into his brothers but Cassian and azriel are there also so badass. Feyre is back with Rhys yay I love them cause they respect each other and love each other . So the war is going to happen and this stupid king mostly wants the wall down between human and fae and he wants to kill a lot of people Rysand and Feyre are trying to get other courts to side with them for this war and tamlin shows up to the meeting it was kinda intense . We also find out Lucian’s father isn’t actually his father omg . More tells feyre that she prefers women to men but nobody but feyre knows .when the day of the fight starts its intense amen becomes full fae the king is dead cause nesta killed him Rysand died for like a second and I was sobbing but he was brought back I loved this book and can’t wait to read from other characters.

Quotes

But Cassian snorted. “I was wondering when the come-ons would begin.” Helion threw himself onto the couch across from Cassian and Mor. He’d ditched that radiant crown somewhere, but kept that gold armband of the upright serpent. “It’s been what—four centuries now, and you three still haven’t accepted my offer.” Mor lolled her head to the side. “I don’t like to share, unfortunately.” “You never know until you try,” Helion purred. The three of them in bed … with him? I must have been blinking like a fool because Rhys said to me, Helion favors both males and females. Usually together in his bed. And has been hounding after that trio for centuries. I considered—Helion’s beauty and the others … Why the hell haven’t they said yes? Rhys barked a laugh that had all of them looking at him with raised brows. My mate just came up behind me and slid his arms around my waist, pressing a kiss to my neck. Would you like someone to join us in bed, Feyre darling? My skin stretched tight over my bones at the tone, the suggestion. You’re incorrigible. I think you’d like two males worshipping you. My toes curled. Mor cleared her throat. “Whatever you’re saying mind to mind, either share it or go to another room so we don’t have to sit here, stewing in your scents.” I stuck out my tongue. Rhys laughed again, kissing my neck once more before saying, “Apologies for offending your delicate sensibilities, cousin.”

Rhys slid his hands into his pockets. “I figure it’s time for the world to know who really has the largest wingspan.”

“As High Lady, Feyre is no longer my emissary to the human world.” He gave Nesta a tentative smile. “Want the job?” Nesta’s face yielded nothing, but I could have sworn some spark flared. “Consider this meeting a trial basis. And I’ll make you pay through the teeth for my services.” Rhys sketched a bow. “I would expect nothing less of an Archeron sister.” I poked him in the ribs, and he huffed a laugh. “Welcome to the court,” he said to her. “You’re about to have one hell of a first day.” And to my eternal shock, a smile tugged at Nesta’s mouth. “No going back now,” Cassian said to Rhys, gesturing to his wings

“Together, we stared at our reflection. Lord and Lady Night. “Ready to be wicked?” he purred in my ear.

Azriel shrugged. “We—Rhys, Cass, and I—will occasionally remind each other that what we think to be our greatest weakness can sometimes be our biggest strength. And that the most unlikely person can alter the course of history.”

“I believe everything happens for a reason. Whether it is decided by the Mother, or the Cauldron, or some sort of tapestry of Fate, I don’t know. I don’t really care. But I am grateful for it, whatever it is. Grateful that it brought you all into my life. If it hadn’t… I might have become as awful as that prick we’re going to face today. If I had not met an Illyrian warrior-in-training,” he said to Cassian, “I would not have known the true depths of strength, of resilience, of honor and loyalty.” Cassian’s eyes gleamed bright. Rhys said to Azriel, “If I had not met a shadowsinger, I would not have known that it is the family you make, not the one you are born into, that matters. I would not have known what it is to truly hope, even when the world tells you to despair.” Azriel bowed his head in thanks.
Mor was already crying when Rhys spoke to her. “If I had not met my cousin, I would neer have learned that light can be found in even the darkest of hells. That kidness can thrive even amongst cruelty.” She wiped away her teas as she nodded.
I waited for Amren to offer a retort. But she was only waiting.
Rhys bowed his head to her. “If I had not met a tiny monster who hoards jewels more fiercely than a firedrake…” A quite laugh from all of us at that. Rhys smiled softly. “My own power would have consumed me long ago.”
Rhys squeezed my hand as he looked to me at last. “And if I had not met my mate…” His words failed him as silver lined his eyes.
He said down the bond, I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have… The wait was worth it.

I met those laughing, fierce hazel eyes. Cassian’s smile softened. “Hello, Feyre.” My throat tightened to the point of pain, and I threw my arms around his neck, embracing him tightly. “I missed you, too,” Cassian murmured, squeezing me.”

Book Review: Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix J.k Rowling

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 21 -april 20

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it’s haunting Harry Potter’s dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

Here are just a few things on Harry’s mind:
• A Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a personality like poisoned honey
• A venomous, disgruntled house-elf
• Ron as keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch team
• The looming terror of the end-of-term Ordinary Wizarding Level exams

…and of course, the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. In the richest installment yet of J. K. Rowling’s seven-part story, Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

Though thick runs the plot (as well as the spine), readers will race through these pages and leave Hogwarts, like Harry, wishing only for the next train back.

Review : this one was intense I really enjoyed this one so harry is fighting this dementor because he is trying to keep his cousin safe but then he gets a letter saying hes expelled but Dumbledore fixed it and he has to go to trial so moody and lupin and tonks pick harry up to go to the safe house at sirus house . And there is the order of the Phoenix which they are preparing for Voldemort . Ron and hermione become prefects . Harry has been receiving some backlash thinking he is a liar saying Voldemort is back not many believe him except luna , nevil , and his friends . Luna is one of my favorite characters shes unique and weird . There new teacher umbridge is a fucked up professor who hurts kids she is fucking nuts . Harry gets this vision of sirus but it was really a trap to steal harry’s prophecy and sirus dies I was sobbing. I loved this book I will be sad when I finish the series .

Quote :We won’t be seeing you,’ Fred told Professor Umbridge, swinging his leg over his broomstick.

‘Yeah, don’t bother to keep in touch,’ said George, mounting his own.

Fred looked around at the assembled students, and at the silent, watchful crowd. ‘If anyone fancies buying a Portable Swamp, as demonstrated upstairs, come to number ninety-three, Diagon Alley — Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes,’ he said in a loud voice, ‘Our new premises!’

‘Special discounts to Hogwarts students who swear they’re going to use our products to get rid of this old bat,’ added George, pointing at Professor Umbridge.

‘STOP THEM!’ shrieked Umbridge, but it was too late. As the Inquisitorial Squad closed in, Fred and George kicked off from the floor, shooting fifteen feet into the air, the iron peg swinging dangerously below. Fred looked across the hall at the poltergeist bobbing on his level above the crowd.

‘Give her hell from us, Peeves.’

And Peeves, who Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset.”
