Book Review: Moxie Jennifer Mathieu

MoxieMoxie by Jennifer Mathieu
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 24-26

Moxie girls fight back!

Vivian Carter is fed up. Fed up with her small-town Texas high school that thinks the football team can do no wrong. Fed up with sexist dress codes and hallway harassment. But most of all, Viv Carter is fed up with always following the rules.

Viv’s mom was a punk rock Riot Grrrl in the ’90s, so now Viv takes a page from her mother’s past and creates a feminist zine that she distributes anonymously to her classmates. She’s just blowing off steam, but other girls respond. Pretty soon Viv is forging friendships with other young women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings, and she realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution

Review : I really loved this book it was awesome vivian gets inspired by her mom’s zines to create this zine called moxie girls and thats what I loved this whole girl power thing. There are a lot of douche bag guys in vivians school , vivian ends up making friends with a girl name lucy and I really like lucy and vivians friendship. The whole dress code shit is such a sexist bullshit , but sadly its a real thing that happens . Vivian meets the new guy in her school while sneaking into the school early to pass out moxie he keeps her secret and they end up going out on a date which was sweet . After someone made an announcement of a walk out cause the principle son almost raped this girl it happens the walk out happens and what I loved about this book it gives girls a voice I really want to read more books like this .

Quotes

it occurs to me that this is what it means to be a feminist. Not a humanist or an equalist or whatever. But a feminist. It’s not a bad word. After today it might be my favorite word. Because really all it is is girls supporting each other and wanting to be treated like human beings in a world that’s always finding ways to tell them they’re not.”

Making girls monitor their behavior and their appearance because boys are supposedly unable to control themselves? That is one of the oldest fucking tricks in the book.”

Book Review: Ready player one Ernest Cline

Ready Player OneReady Player One by Ernest Cline
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 3-24

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, READY PLAYER ONE is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut–part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

It’s the year 2044, and the real world is an ugly place.

Like most of humanity, Wade Watts escapes his grim surroundings by spending his waking hours jacked into the OASIS, a sprawling virtual utopia that lets you be anything you want to be, a place where you can live and play and fall in love on any of ten thousand planets.

And like most of humanity, Wade dreams of being the one to discover the ultimate lottery ticket that lies concealed within this virtual world. For somewhere inside this giant networked playground, OASIS creator James Halliday has hidden a series of fiendish puzzles that will yield massive fortune–and remarkable power–to whoever can unlock them.

For years, millions have struggled fruitlessly to attain this prize, knowing only that Halliday’s riddles are based in the pop culture he loved–that of the late twentieth century. And for years, millions have found in this quest another means of escape, retreating into happy, obsessive study of Halliday’s icons. Like many of his contemporaries, Wade is as comfortable debating the finer points of John Hughes’s oeuvre, playing Pac-Man, or reciting Devo lyrics as he is scrounging power to run his OASIS rig.

And then Wade stumbles upon the first puzzle.

Suddenly the whole world is watching, and thousands of competitors join the hunt–among them certain powerful players who are willing to commit very real murder to beat Wade to this prize. Now the only way for Wade to survive and preserve everything he knows is to win. But to do so, he may have to leave behind his oh-so-perfect virtual existence and face up to life–and love–in the real world he’s always been so desperate to escape.

A world at stake.
A quest for the ultimate prize.
Are you ready?

Review :
This book was great this is set in the future where there are like these VR goggles and the man James Haliday created this world called the oasis but when he died he made an easter egg and if you find it you get control of the oasis . And wade is determined to find it and one day he finds the key and becomes popular and he meets Artemis and they start to chat and he’s in love with her . The sixers get in contact with wade and threatens him and blows up his aunts trailer fucking crazy people . Wade leaves home and gets his own place him and Artemis hang out and then he tells her he loves her and she stops talking to him . and this is where it gets crazy the sixers killed daito and made it look like a suicide . Wade gets himself to be taken by this company and gets information he escapes and releases the information and haliday’s friend helps them come o his place so wade, shoto , Artemis , and aech picks up wade and aech turns out to be a girl . they all go to oasis and wade finds the egg and then wade talks to Artemis/samantha I really enjoyed this book.

Quotes:
“People who live in glass houses should shut the fuck up.

I created the OASIS because I never felt at home in the real world. I didn’t know how to connect with the people there. I was afraid, for all of my life, right up until I knew it was ending. That was when I realized, as terrifying and painful as reality can be, it’s also the only place where you can find true happiness. Because reality is real.”

“You could shove it up your ass and pretend you’re a corn dog.”

You probably think that Aled Last and I are going to fall in love or something. Since he is a boy and I am a girl.

I just wanted to say—we don’t.

Frances Janvier spends most of her time studying. When she’s not studying, she’s up in her room making fan art for her favorite podcast, Universe City.

Everyone knows Aled Last as that quiet boy who gets straight As. But no one knows he’s the creator of Universe City, who goes by the name Radio Silence.

When Frances gets a message from Radio Silence asking if she’ll collaborate with him, everything changes. Frances and Aled spend an entire summer working together and becoming best friends. They get each other when no one else does.

But when Aled’s identity as Radio Silence is revealed, Frances fears that the future of Universe City—and their friendship—is at risk. Aled helped her find her voice. Without him, will she have the courage to show the world who she really is? Or will she be met with radio silence?

Review :
I loved this book it was beautifully written This about Frances she loves this podcast universe city . Then one night she goes out one night with her friends . She runs into aled her former friends twin brother and she finds out Aled is the creator of universe city he’s so drunk he didn’t remember telling her but the thing is . Universe city contacted frances to do art for it but she uses a different name on twitter . She takes Aled to her home cause he was drunk and forgot his house keys the next morning Frances tells Aled that she knows he created universe city and then they kinda start a really sweet friendship I love Aled he’s kind and sweet and I love that this deals with a friendship with no romance in it . Frances sees how cruel Aled’s mother is to him. when his sister ran away she wouldn’t tell Aled where she is . She finally tells Aled that she is the artist from tumblr . Aled doesn’t want to go to college and on the night of Aled’s birthday Frances see’s him and henry kissing and then Aled’s secret comes out about him being the creator and Aled goes to college and stops talking to her . When Frances doesn’t get into her school of her dreams she’s unhappy but she knows she has to find Aled’s sister cause he stopped making universe city his mother killed off his dog crazy fucking bitch . Frances finds her and she agrees to see Aled so Frances , Henry, Aled’s sister and Frances friend go to Aled cause frances is worried about him and she finds him and talks to him and tellls him he doesn’t have to continue with college he can drop out and they can get jobs together and work on universe city and he agrees to it and frances dyes his hair pastel pink and Aled explains to Henry he’s demisexual . then we see them at a con and Frances got a letter she got accepted into art school.

Quotes:
And I’m platonically in love with you.”
“That was literally the boy-girl version of ‘no homo’, but I appreciate the sentiment.

“I wonder sometimes whether you’ve exploded already, like a star, and what I’m seeing you is three million years into the past, and you’re not here anyore. How can we be together here, now, when you are so far away. When you are so far ago? I’m shouting so loudly, but you never turn around to see me. Perhaps it is I who have already exploded. Either way, we are going to bring beautiful things into the universe.”

I wonder- if nobody is listening to my voice, am I making any sound at all?”

I think everyone’s a bit bored with boy-girl romances anyway,” he said. “I think the world’s had enough of those, to be honest.”

Book Review: Restore Me Tehereh Mafi

Restore Me (Shatter Me, #4)Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 6-9

Juliette Ferrars thought she’d won. She took over Sector 45, was named the new Supreme Commander, and now has Warner by her side. But she’s still the girl with the ability to kill with a single touch—and now she’s got the whole world in the palm of her hand. When tragedy hits, who will she become? Will she be able to control the power she wields and use it for good?

REVIEW: I loved this book I dont know how im supposed to wait for the next book. So this takes place after ignite me and shes taken over sector 45 and I love thats its in dule Pov . So we find out a lot Julliette is adopted and her parents are coming to find her and they were as much monster’s as her adopted ones she has an older sister she didnt know about . I love warner and julliette but warner needs to work on openening up to to her I was sad they broke up but I think with everything going on maybe they need to not be together at this moment I still want them together. I still love kenji and hearing his backstory was so sad I did love seeing him trying to flirt with the new character so cute. The ending was crazy her freaking parents took her to some location and she finds old pictures of herself and one with warner omg cliffhanger.
Quotes

Yeah first question: why are you such a dick ?
Warner stands up . Sweetheart , he says quietly , I hope you will forgive me for what I’m about to do to his face.
Hey , asshole , I can still hear you.

Men , she says , are always so baffled by women’s clothing. So many options about a body that does not belong to them. Cover up , dont cover up – she waves a hand no one can seem to decide.
But thats not what I – Kenji tries to say.
You know what I think, she says , still smiling , about someone telling me what’s legsl and illegal about the way I dress ?
She holds up two middle fingers.

I’m very tired I say to him please go directly to hell

“I love the sight of his naked body.
especially in these quiet, vulnerable moments. These brackets of time stapled between dreams and reality are my favorite. There’s a sweetness in this hesitant consciousness – a careful, gentle return of form of function, I’ve found I love these minutes most for the delicate way in which they unfold. It’s tender.
Slow motion.
Time tying its shoes

“She reaches down, her fingers trailing along the zipper of my pants, and the movement sears through me. My vision goes white. For a moment I hear nothing but my heart, pounding in my head.
“You are trying to kill me,” I say.
“Aaron.” I can feel her smile as she whispers the word in my ear. She’s unbuttoning my pants. “Please.”
And I, I am gone.”

“You’re a total catch.” “I know, right? I keep trying to tell people.

“Idiots are highly flammable, love. Let them all burn in hell.”

Who says you can’t be cute and kick ass at the same time?” Kenji winks at me. “I do it every day.”

I mean , I’ve always known I had a great face. But now I know, like, for sure that I’ve got a great face. And it’s just so validating.”

Book Review: Every Day David levithan

Every Day (Every Day, #1)Every Day by David Levithan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Feb 8-25

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.
There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day

Book review : I really enjoyed this book this book is about A I don’t know how to explain I think it’s a spirit he takes over a person’s body for just one day what I loved about this book it was beautifully written and I loved A as a character so one day A is this guy Justin and there he meets Rhiannon who he falls for they spend the day on the beach and A just really likes her but A can’t forget about her so A meets her as another person and another until A tells her the truth first she doesn’t believe A but then she does and she really likes A but she has a boyfriend and A is dealing with with a guy who believes A is the devil but A ends up talking to him and A explains to him that A isn’t the devil and that this has been it’s life forever . A knows that it has to say goodbye to Rhiannon and A does and A Says goodbye ugh I want to know what happens next but I loved the story it was beautiful.
Quotes :
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: We all want everything to be okay. We don’t even wish so much for fantastic or marvelous or outstanding. We will happily settle for okay, because most of the time, okay is enough.”

It’s one thing to fall in love. It’s another to feel someone else fall in love with you, and to feel a responsibility toward that love.”
“The moment you fall in love feels like it has centuries behind it, generations – all of them rearranging themselves so this precise, remarkable intersection could happen. In your heart, in your bones, no matter how silly you know it is, you feel that everything has been leading to this, all the secret arrows were pointing here, the universe and time itself crafted this long ago, and you are just now realizing it, you are just now arriving at the place you were always meant to be.”

She is so lost in her sadness that she has no idea how visible it is.”

You like him because he’s a lost boy. Believe me, I’ve seen it happen before. But do you know what happens to girls who love lost boys? They become lost themselves. Without fail.”

I notice you, I want to say. Even when no one else does, I do. I will.”

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Feb 15- 21

In her twenties, Emma Blair marries her high school sweetheart, Jesse. They build a life for themselves, far away from the expectations of their parents and the people of their hometown in Massachusetts. They travel the world together, living life to the fullest and seizing every opportunity for adventure.

On their first wedding anniversary, Jesse is on a helicopter over the Pacific when it goes missing. Just like that, Jesse is gone forever.

Emma quits her job and moves home in an effort to put her life back together. Years later, now in her thirties, Emma runs into an old friend, Sam, and finds herself falling in love again. When Emma and Sam get engaged, it feels like Emma’s second chance at happiness.

That is, until Jesse is found. He’s alive, and he’s been trying all these years to come home to her. With a husband and a fiancé, Emma has to now figure out who she is and what she wants, while trying to protect the ones she loves.

Who is her one true love? What does it mean to love truly?

Emma knows she has to listen to her heart. She’s just not sure what it’s saying.

Review : This book had me sobbing Emma goes through a lot I loved that it goes into the past and present so we know how it starts . Emma and Jesse relationship they love each other they love travel but then Jesse goes missing and is believed to be dead. three years have past and she is looking to play piano and sees sam who worked at Emma’s parents bookshop and he liked Emma back in high school and they agree to go on a date and everything with them is great they get each other . Emma is the manager of the bookstore and she’s happy and her and Sam are engaged . But then Jesse is found and things are really complicated Sam tells her she needs to work out what she had with Jesse and decide and she does they go away together and they are so different now this situation is so complicated and I was crying a lot in this book . But Emma picks Sam she explains to Jeesse that they are different and she loves Sam. She goes back home and goes to Sam they get married this book was beautiful.

quotes :

When you love someone, it seeps out of everything you do, it bleeds into everything you say, it becomes so ever-present, that eventually it becomes ordinary to hear, no matter how extraordinary it is to feel.”

There is other love out there for me. But it’s different. It isn’t this. It isn’t this exact love. It’s better and it’s worse. But I guess that’s sort of the point of love between two people—you can’t re-create it. Every time you love, everyone you love, the love is different. You’re different in it

don’t think that true love means your only love.

I think true love means loving truly.

Loving purely. Loving wholly.

Maybe, if you’re the kind of person who’s willing to give all of yourself, the kind of person who is willing to love with all of your heart even though you’ve experienced just how much it can hurt . . . maybe you get lots of true loves, then. Maybe that’s the gift you get for being brave.”

Book Review: The bookshop on the corner Jenny Colgan

The Bookshop on the CornerThe Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dec 30- Feb 18
Nina Redmond is a librarian with a gift for finding the perfect book for her readers. But can she write her own happy-ever-after? In this valentine to readers, librarians, and book-lovers the world over, the New York Times-bestselling author of Little Beach Street Bakery returns with a funny, moving new novel for fans of Meg Donohue, Sophie Kinsella, and Nina George’s The Little Paris Bookshop.

Nina Redmond is a literary matchmaker. Pairing a reader with that perfect book is her passion… and also her job. Or at least it was. Until yesterday, she was a librarian in the hectic city. But now the job she loved is no more.

Determined to make a new life for herself, Nina moves to a sleepy village many miles away. There she buys a van and transforms it into a bookmobile—a mobile bookshop that she drives from neighborhood to neighborhood, changing one life after another with the power of storytelling.

From helping her grumpy landlord deliver a lamb, to sharing picnics with a charming train conductor who serenades her with poetry, Nina discovers there’s plenty of adventure, magic, and soul in a place that’s beginning to feel like home… a place where she just might be able to write her own happy ending.

Review : I recommend this book to anyone who is a book lover . This is about Nina and she’s a librarian and she loves loves books but the library is changing and Nina goes to Scotland to start a bookstore van which is such a cool idea .Nina goes through a lot she has a grumpy landlord , almost gets killed by a train , delivers a lamb which was awesome. she hires a teenager who has a lot of family problems . The situation with her and the train guy just seemed sketchy turns out he has a son and girlfriend WTF. Her and Lenox start getting closer and end up having sex but he has a crazy almost ex wife but they deal with it. They are cute together I really enjoyed this book.
quotes :

Books were the best way Nina knew – apart from, sometimes, music – to breach the barrier; to connect the internal universe with the external, the words acting merely as a conduit between the two worlds.”

Because every day with a book is slightly better than one without, and I wish you nothing but the happiest of days. Now,”

There was a universe inside every human being every bit as big as the universe outside them. Books were the best way Nina knew – apart from, sometimes, music – to breach the barrier, to connect the internal universe with the external, the words acting merely as a conduit between the two worlds.”

Some people buried their fears in food, she knew, and some in booze, and some in planning elaborate engagements and weddings and other life events that took up every spare moment of their time, in case unpleasant thoughts intruded. But for Nina, whenever reality, or the grimmer side of reality, threatened to invade, she always turned to a book. Books had been her solace when she was sad; her friends when she was lonely. They had mended her heart when it was broken, and encouraged her to hope when she was down. Yet”

But as small acts of mischief escalate into a vicious battle, Lord Blackheart realizes that Nimona’s powers are as murky and mysterious as her past. And her unpredictable wild side might be more dangerous than he is willing to admit.

Review : I had heard this graphic novel was good but it was really good I loved it. I read it with the audiobook which made the experience way better .This is about Nimona who is a shapeshifter who is working with a super vilian this graphic novel was crazy cause there may be more to her powers that blackheart doesnt know and the prince is an interesting character I really enjoyed this book I recommend it.

Book Review: Twelve days of Christmas Debbie Macomber

Twelve Days of ChristmasTwelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

December 18-23

In a festive annual tradition, #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber returns with another original holiday novel full of romance and cheer. This time around, a plucky young woman clashes with a real-life Scrooge—her grouchy, arrogant, annoyingly handsome neighbor—and tries to get even the only way she knows how: by killing him with kindness.

Review : this book was a perfect Christmas read for me this book is about Julia and her grumpy neighbor to get this job Julia needs to write a popular blog so her best friend suggests that she kill him with kindness so up until Christmas she kills him with kindness until they start to get along and more than she though she actually likes the guy but then he finds out the blog and is hurt and mad and won’t talk to her . she ends up inviting his grandfather over for Christmas dinner and he ends up having to go to the hospital so Julia comes along and they make up this book just is a perfect Christmas read.

quotes :

Kill him with kindness

He rarely allowed anyone to get close, and for good reason. It seemed every time he did, he regretted it.

“He took your newspaper; he didn’t threaten to bury you in concrete.”

Cain Maddox, you have a sense of humor.

Merry Christmas, Cain.” He held her gaze and then muttered, “Bah humbug.

Think you’re wrong about that,” Bernie said with a thoughtful look. “He’s attracted to you, but knowing my grandson, he’s fighting it tooth and nail

That boy hasn’t got a romantic bone in his body. He probably thought he was giving you a compliment.”

If he didn’t kiss her soon, she was going to reach for his lapels and jerk him close and do it herself. Just when she was about to stand on the tips of her toes and kiss him, Cain leaned down and captured her mouth. His kiss was exactly how she’d imagined. Her entire body swayed toward him and he wrapped his arms around her in a hold that half lifted her from the ground. Julia’s arms slipped around his neck as she gave herself over to him. The kiss was intense and deep: a mingling of passion, need, want, desire, and longing. It went on for what seemed like several moments. When they broke apart, they both swayed as if their entire world had made a shift…and for Julia it had. This was above and beyond anything she could ever have predicted. Cain pressed his forehead against hers. “I knew you’d taste like heaven.” His words felt like warm honey. “You’re going to be addictive, aren’t you?” he murmured. “I…I don’t know…maybe…I’d like it if I were.” With everything in her, she hoped what he said was true. “One taste will never be enough.” She grazed her lips over his in a near kiss, enjoying the freedom to tease him. His arms remained around her. Her own were tucked about his waist. “You still going to buy me coffee in the morning?” “My word is good.” “Mine, too.”

Congratulations, sweetheart.” Sweetheart? She froze, her breath trapped in her lungs. “Did you just call me sweetheart?” “Did I?

You get a puppy but want to wait on a baby?” Bernie shook his head. “You sure you know what you’re doing, boy?”

Book Review: Harry Potter and the goblet of fire J.K Rowling

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

November 4-19

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the pivotal fourth novel in the seven-part tale of Harry Potter’s training as a wizard and his coming of age. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the International Quidditch Cup with Hermione, Ron, and the Weasleys. He wants to dream about Cho Chang, his crush (and maybe do more than dream). He wants to find out about the mysterious event involving two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn’t happened for a hundred years. He wants to be a normal, fourteen-year-old wizard. Unfortunately for Harry Potter, he’s not normal — even by wizarding standards.

And in this case, different can be deadly.

Review : This may be my favorite of the series so in this book the Triwizard tournament is happening and somehow Harry’s name gets put in the cup . And he’s writing letters to Sirus to tell him what is happening . There is a new defense of the dark arts teacher Professor Moody and he’s a bit weird but hes and interesting character . The cool thing about this book we got to see wizards from Different countries . Herminone is working out SPEW it’s about having house elves being paid for work . And there is this stupid reporter who keeps telling lies and stories about everyone mostly Harry and even Hagrid she spills that Hagrid is half giant . Harry is doing pretty well with his tasks and he might even win . When Harry goes to see Dumbledoor about his scar hurting he sees into the past and the trial of Barty crouch’s son who was one of Voldemort’s alies . The last task comes and it’s maze with some tricks and it’s down to Harry and Cedric and they both hold onto the cup and it’s a portkey and voldemort is back and Cedric is dead he gets away from Voldemort barley and tells everyone Voldemort is back but not everyone believes him . Moody takes harry and it turns out he was Barty crouch Jr. using pollyjuice potion this book was epic and action I loved it.
Quotes:
It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.”

Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it.”

“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”

Don’t talk to me.”
“Why not?”
“Because I want to fix that in my memory for ever. Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret…”

Who’re you going with, then?” said Ron.
“Angelina,” said Fred promptly, without a trace of embarrassment.
“What?” said Ron, taken aback. “You’ve already asked her?”
“Good point,” said Fred. He turned his head and called across the common room, “Oi! Angelina!”
Angelina, who had been chatting with Alicia Spinnet near the fire, looked over at him.
“What?” She called back.
“Want to come to the ball with me?”
Angelina gave Fred a sort of appraising look.
“All right, then,” she said, and she turned back to Alicia and carried on chatting with a bit of a grin on her face.
“There you go,” said Fred to Harry and Ron, “piece of cake.”

Next time there’s a ball, ask me before someone else does, and not as a last resort!”

“Harry… take my body back, will you? Take my body back to my parents…”

Book Review: Halloween with the hunk Jewel Killian

Halloween with the Hunk (Holiday Studs #1)Halloween with the Hunk by Jewel Killian
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

October 26-27

Cassie
What do you do when the lumberjack next door knocks on your door?

You let him the hell in!

There he stood in only jeans and work gloves–all bulging arms and chiseled abs.
I couldn’t help but look, stare even. How could I not? He looked like he knew his way around the female body and I was aching to find out exactly how much he knew.

Landon-
If she keeps looking at me like that I’ll have her in every room, every way, all night AND all day. I’ll show her my world of pleasure and dominance. I’ll make her feel things she never thought possible. I’ll make her scream so loud the neighbors will know my name.

Well, they already do. I was the former town playboy after all.

Review : This book was really cute and sexy I loved it Cassie she went away for the weekend to get work done but then she meets landon who is mostly a hot lumberjack and they hook up but when cassie wakes up without landon she thinks he just left her so she leaves but he likes her a lot and tracks down her friend and they go to the Halloween party where landon shows up and they talk and then they go to a interesting sex club . Landon has to go away for three months for work so they do a long distance relationship but then Landon comes back and it goes forward to the next Halloween and Landon proposes and they get married it was so cute .

Quotes :
Standing in the lawn between the two houses, illuminated only by my headlights, was a man in jeans and work gloves. Only jeans and work gloves

Well, Jeannie, I might just get to bang a lumberjack after all.

You know how sometimes you can feel eyes on you? That’s why I looked up. She stared so hard, so intently I could feel it. I met her eyes and I swear I don’t think I’ve ever been looked at like that before— like she wanted to eat me.

“Hi.” I barely got out the word before he rushed me, picking me up and kissing me like I’ve never been kissed before. I melted under him as he held my face and wedged me between the wall and his hips.

Landon growled at my words, probably the sexiest noise I’d ever heard in my whole life.

But I rode enough of him to make his gorgeous baby blues roll up in his head.

Book Review: Dumplin Julie Murphy

Dumplin' (Dumplin' #1)Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

october 24-26
Self-proclaimed fat girl Willowdean Dickson (dubbed “Dumplin’” by her former beauty queen mom) has always been at home in her own skin. Her thoughts on having the ultimate bikini body? Put a bikini on your body. With her all-American beauty best friend, Ellen, by her side, things have always worked…until Will takes a job at Harpy’s, the local fast-food joint. There she meets Private School Bo, a hot former jock. Will isn’t surprised to find herself attracted to Bo. But she is surprised when he seems to like her back.

Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Clover City beauty pageant—along with several other unlikely candidates—to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does. Along the way, she’ll shock the hell out of Clover City—and maybe herself most of all.

With starry Texas nights, red candy suckers, Dolly Parton songs, and a wildly unforgettable heroine—Dumplin’ is guaranteed to steal your heart.

Review : I really wanted to like this book it was okay but I had some problems with it , Will’s mom she is so judgmental of her daughters weight I get being concerned but there is a way to do it . Will is a bigger girl and she likes this guy name Bo and they dated for like a summer and then she broke up with him and she decided to do this beauty queen thing and she yells at her friend and they have this stupid long ass fight which I didn’t see a point for . Now I want to point out I didn’t hate this book but I just didn’t like it . Will and Bo start talking and there moments were really sweet .
