The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

January 10- Febuary 22

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

Review : This book was beautiful I loved Everything , Everything and I loved this book
Natasha’s family is being deported and Natasha’s working her hardest to have that not happen Daniel is a poet his family wants him to go to Harvard and be a doctor they both meet and talk and spend some time with each other I love Daniel he’s caring a good poet and he cares for Natasha . They end up making out Natasha meets Daniel’s family . Daniel’s brother is a fucking asshole he treats Daniel like crap . Natasha and Daniel part way they fight cause Natasha tells him that she’s being deported but Natasha wants to see Daniel she finds a lawer who might be able to help . She gets Daniel’s number after Daniel and his brother got in a fist fight they meet back up go up to a roof and kiss and Daniel goes to his college interview which turns out is the same Lawer and he couldn’t stop her deportation they have to leave Daniel goes to her house with her .Years pass they grow apart until they meet again on a plane I loved this book so much one of my new favorites .

Quotes :
Natasha is different . She believes in determinism —- cause and effect . One action leads to another leads to another . Your actions determine your fate .
In this way she’s not unlike Daniel’s dad .
Daniel lives in the nebulous space in between . Maybe he wasn’t meant to meet Natasha today. Maybe it was random chance after all .
But.
Once they met , the rest of it , the love between them , was inevitable

“Maybe part of falling in love with someone else is also falling in love with yourself.”

“Stars are important,” I say, laughing.

“Sure, but why not more poems about the sun? The sun is also a star, and it’s our most important one. That alone should be worth a poem or two.”

“We have big, beautiful brains. We invent things that fly. Fly. We write poetry. You probably hate poetry, but it’s hard to argue with ‘Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate’ in terms of sheer beauty. We are capable of big lives. A big history. Why settle? Why choose the practical thing, the mundane thing? We are born to dream and make the things we dream about.”

Observable Fact: I don’t believe in magic.
Observable Fact: We are magic.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

January 16- 22

Amanda Hardy is the new girl in school in Lambertville, Tennessee. Like any other girl, all she wants is to make friends and fit in. But Amanda is keeping a secret. There’s a reason why she transferred schools for her senior year, and why she’s determined not to get too close to anyone.

And then she meets Grant Everett. Grant is unlike anyone she’s ever met—open, honest, kind—and Amanda can’t help but start to let him into her life. As they spend more time together, she finds herself yearning to share with Grant everything about herself…including her past. But she’s terrified that once she tells Grant the truth, he won’t be able to see past it.

Because the secret that Amanda’s been keeping? It’s that she used to be Andrew

Review : This book was beautiful . This book is about a trans girl name Amanda and she’s going to a new school and moving in with her dad . At school she meets a lot of new people . Bee , Grant , and a group of girls who save Amanda from heat stroke . Her father is having trouble coming to terms with Amanda being trans. Amanda ends up going to a party with her friends and Grant and Amanda end up dancing Grant ends up taking her to a quiet place they go for a swim and they kissing. Amanda avoids Grant until he finds her and she agrees to go out with him . Amanda knows she has to tell Grant that she’s trans but she can’t . I loved the flashbacks before she was where she is now . Amanda tried to kill herself this book was very deep and beautiful. Amanda has been through a lot she starts dating Grant . And hanging out with friends and her dad and her aren’t still getting a long . she finds out one of her friends is gay she dated Bee . Amanda finds out that Grant is poor and he works a lot he brings her home to his family which went well . Amanda’s friend comes for a visit she’s trans and Amanda doesn’t want her other friends to meet her . Amanda writes a letter to tell grant the truth but he burns the letter . Grant asks her to homecoming so Amanda goes with her friends and runs into Bee who is drunk and comes onto Amanda . Amanda wins homecoming queen and Bee tells everyone she’s trans oh my god and she runs out and Grant catches her and asks if its a joke and then she leaves but gets attacked by parker but her friends find her and Chole points a gun to his head which was kinda badass . Amanda’s father hits grant cause he thought it was grant so she ends up going home to her mom and her dad shows up for thanksgiving and her and him talk and she wants to go live with him again so she goes back which was brave . Her and Grant talk this book was beautiful and I can’t wait to read more works by this author .
Quotes
You can have anything,” she said, “once you admit you deserve it.”

I know it hurts. I know it hurts so bad you can barely breathe sometimes. I know because I’ve been there. Please don’t leave us. I promise life can be good, and we need you too much.”

Maybe secrets were part of life; maybe everyone had something they were lying to themselves about, or something they were hiding.
I looked up at the cross again and wondered if I was supposed to hear this particular sermon at this particular moment for a reason. I decided that the people who had said God didn’t love me, who said I didn’t have a place on Earth—they were wrong. God wanted me to live, and this was the only way I knew how to survive, so this was what God wanted. This was what I wanted. I had chosen to live, and it seemed like, finally, I was doing just that.”

“I wondered if joy could ever be felt by itself without being tainted with fear and confusion, or if some level of misery was a universal constant, like the speed of light.”

For as long as I could remember, I had been apologizing for existing, for trying to be who I was, to live the life I was meant to lead.”

Book Review: Shameless Gina L. Maxwell

Shameless (Playboys in Love, #1)Shameless by Gina L. Maxwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

January 14- 21

People say I’m shameless. They’re right.

I like my sex dirty. It takes a hell of a lot to tilt my moral compass, and I always follow when it’s pointing at something I want. That goes double when it points straight at the one girl in all of Chicago who’s not dying for a piece of me.

She’s all I can think about, and that’s a problem, because she wants nothing to do with me. But I’ve seen her deepest secrets, her darkest fantasies, and they match mine to a fucking T.

I want her. Bad.

Now I need to show her how good it can feel…to be shameless.

Review : I loved this book , this book was funny and sexy Jane just wants her sink fixed and Jane’s friend calls a guy to come over to “fix it ” but the handyman is actually a stripper name Chance . But Jane doesn’t know he’s a stripper until he starts dancing for her . They make a deal Chance will fix her sink and dance for her . When he’s in her bathroom he finds something on her laptop some really kinky porn Jane likes it rough . Chance dances for her and then they have some kinky sex and he leaves but he can’t get Jane out of his head so he finds her at her work when he’s with his friends which are very interesting characters
Austin a firefighter and Roman a lawyer very interesting combo for strippers. Chance fallows her to the bathroom for some fun so they agree to a no strings relationship . Lots of Kinky sex until Chance doesn’t just want that when he sees men hitting on Jane he tells her he wants more while there in the bath and I love them together . Chance is worried Jane might want to change him . Jane goes to her cousins birthday and strippers are there Austin , Roman and Chance oh god and Jane leaves and when she gets home her and Chance get in a fight cause Jane asks him if he ever thought about stopping stripping and they break up . Chance is angry and he goes to Jane and they do there sexy time and get back together . Jane decides to get back at her friend and Chance says he’s going to send her Ruthless who is roman I can’t wait till the next book .
Favorite Quotes :
I’ve decided he’s pretty much a unicorn with attitude , Aka the perfect lover

I wouldn’t mind charming my way into her panties . Fell like sharing ? Do not kill your best friend. Do not kill your best friend

Damn, that means my thrusting game would be the reason a marrage gets called off . He shakes his head and whistles . That’s pretty fucking heavy , Man but I guess what they is true . With great cock come great responsibility.

No , I was thinking more along the lines of another laywer. one who could schedule a meeting in a conference room one of these nights when she’s working late all by herself . one who might start loosening the constraints of his suit during the meeting to get comfortable then might end up with it off all together . Her beautiful brown eyes grow wide with excitement . oh my god , she says Roman not roman I answer with a wink Ruthless

November 23- December 29

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist

Review: Ben meets Fallon on November 9th which is a big date in this book . Fallon was in a big accident when she was younger a fire was set on her dad’s house and he forgot about her so at this dinner with her father where he’s mostly insulting her cause she wants to get into acting again she’s moving to NYC and then Ben steps in pretending to be her boyfriend so they spend the night together hang out and agree to spend November 9th together until there 23 Ben is going to write a book about there love story I loved this book these characters are very interesting I laughed I cried a lot reading this book I think I loved this book more than Slammed . The second November Fallon meets Ben’s brothers Ian and kyle , Kyle ends up punching Ben for we find out later on Ben gets a tattoo it was a cute scene Fallen leaves for NYC . The next november was sad Ben’s brother died in a car accident I felt so bad for Jorden his wife who is pregnant with there child I cried so much so Ben couldn’t make it this November 9 and he wanted fallen but she goes to him which I thought was really sweet they end up having sex and Ben wants to move to NYC but Fallen tells him no he has to be here for his family and she’s right but Ben is heartbroken . Fallen ends up moving back to LA so she can teach acting and Ben shows up with Oliver and he breaks the news to Fallen he’s with Jorden the worse part is you can’t hate Jorden cause of what she’s been through but I felt so bad for Fallen and Ben Fallen says she’s not going to show up next year and I started crying . Ben finds her next year when Fallen is on a date with a big douche Ben and fallen end up making out and then some punching happens and Fallen goes to Ben’s place and she finds his book and we learn he started the fire I screamed WTF how what I needed answers but Fallen was afraid so she left and Ben was heartbroken . Ps I think they intertwined some of ugly love in this book cause Tate and Miles were in this and Ian was Miles friend in ugly love omg

Favorite quotes
I’m not going to pretend that I know what youve gone through . but after reading those pages , I can assure you that you aren’t the only one who was scarred in that fire . just because he chose not to show you his scars doesn’t mean they don’t exist . she picks up the box and sets it on my lap . here you need to show him the respect he showed you by not turning away from them

I dont want to be your first , Fallon . I want to be your last

it pisses me off you allow something so trivial to define such a huge part of you . I can’t make you pretty in the book . Because that be an insult You’re fucking beautiful. And you’re funny . And the only times I’m not completely enamored by you are the moments you’re feeling sorry for yourself because I don’t know if you’ve realized this yet , but your alive , fallon . and every time you look in the mirror you don’t have a right to hate what you see . Because you survived when a lot of people don’t get that lucky so from now on when you think about your scars , you aren’t allowed to resent them . you’re going to embrace them, because you’re lucky to be on this earth to see them. And any guy you allow to touch your scars better thank you for that privilege.

Wow . Is he …
he is
Ben . I say narrowing my eyes . Are you… booksting me ?
he cocks an eyebrow . Booksting ?
Yeah when a hot guy talks books with a girl . It’s like sexting but out loud with books instead of sex . Nor does it have to do with texts . Okay , so it’s nothing like sexting , but it made sense in my head . He falls onto the bed in laughter . I scoot toward him and place my hand on his chest as I lean over him . Don’t stop I tease in a seductive voice . Give me more Ben . Did you read ebooks or… I run my finger slowly down his chest . Hardbacks ? He pulls his hand behind his head and a smug look washes over his face . Oh they were hardback, all right and I’m not sure if your ready for this , but …. I have my very own TBR pile you should see it , Fallon . It’s huge .

one of the things I try to remind myself is that everyone has scars , she says . A lot of them even worse then mine . the only difference is mine are viable most people’s aren’t .

I read a lot of romance , so I know when the timing is right . if we’re going to kiss it has to be book-worthy.

I practically live in Starbucks . I’m a writer . it’s a rite of passage

If we’re going to kiss, it has to be book-worthy.”

She “loved me” in quotations She kissed me in bold I TRIED TO KEEP HER in all caps She left with an ellipsis . . .”

You can’t leave yet. I’m not finished falling in love with you.

“It’s easy to fall in love, Ben. The hard part comes when you want out.”

Loving someone means accepting all the things and people that person loves, too.”

When you’re willing to give up the things that mean the most to you just to see someone else happy, that’s real love.”

I’m not sure if sex is supposed to make you feel like you’ve just lost a part of yourself to the person inside you, but that’s exactly what it felt like. It felt as if the second we joined together, a tiny piece of our souls got confused and a piece of his fell into me and a piece of mine fell into him. It was by far the single most intense moment I’ve ever shared with another person.”

“if you tell me you want to spend every single day on the calendar this year falling in love with me, then I’m going to kiss you. And I promise it’ll be an eleven.”

I need you to to know that it was always you who had my heart.”

Book review kiss him not me vol 1

December 25-25

Hi there! My name is Serinuma Kae.I’m the kind of girl who loves checking out boys and fantasizing about them getting friendly (and more) with each other—I’m what you might call a fujoshi. One day, my beloved (yes, he’s an anime character) died, and the shock of it all was more than I could have ever prepared for! My grief over his passing resulted in some ridiculous weight-loss!And you won’t believe what happened next! Soon after my change, the four most divinely gorgeous boys in my school asked me out on dates! I accepted them all, and you’d think I’d be happy with my sudden popularity, but the truth is, my heart only yearns for a prince to be next to his prince. Ahh, yes, boys, I’d much prefer that you turn your affections elsewhere and KISS HIM, NOT ME

Review : I loved this manga I watched the anime and it was so cute this manga is about kae who loves BL stuff and after her favorite character died she goes into a depression and doesn’t come out of her room but she goes from an overweight girl to a thin girl and then she starts getting attention from some boys I love the guys Assume is my favorite cause he liked kae before she was thin. The first part was about her hiding her otoku side in front of the boys but couldn’t hold it in but they didn’t care . The second part was she was asked to be on the soccer team so her friends help her cause she isn’t really good at it but they win . Kae needs to study or she has to take summer classes so Asume offers to help her but the others offer to this one was so funny can’t wait to read the rest

Book Review: Furiously happy a funny book about horrible things Jenny Lawson

Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible ThingsFuriously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book review : Furiously happy by jenny lawson December 20-24

In LET’S PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED, Jenny Lawson baffled readers with stories about growing up the daughter of a taxidermist. In her new book, FURIOUSLY HAPPY, Jenny explores her lifelong battle with mental illness. A hysterical, ridiculous book about crippling depression and anxiety? That sounds like a terrible idea. And terrible ideas are what Jenny does best.

According to Jenny: “Some people might think that being ‘furiously happy’ is just an excuse to be stupid and irresponsible and invite a herd of kangaroos over to your house without telling your husband first because you suspect he would say no since he’s never particularly liked kangaroos. And that would be ridiculous because no one would invite a herd of kangaroos into their house. Two is the limit. I speak from personal experience. My husband says that none is the new limit. I say he should have been clearer about that before I rented all those kangaroos.”

“Most of my favorite people are dangerously fucked-up but you’d never guess because we’ve learned to bare it so honestly that it becomes the new normal. Like John Hughes wrote in The Breakfast Club, ‘We’re all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it.’ Except go back and cross out the word ‘hiding.'”

Jenny’s first book, LET’S PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED, was ostensibly about family, but deep down it was about celebrating your own weirdness. FURIOUSLY HAPPY is a book about mental illness, but under the surface it’s about embracing joy in fantastic and outrageous ways-and who doesn’t need a bit more of that?
Review : I loved this book I loved the way Jenny talked about living with anxiety and depression I read this with the audiobook it was so funny and relate able I’ve had anxiety since I was 11 or 12 . And reading this book made me see that I’m not alone others have the same or different problems as me . I highly recommend reading this book if you have anxiety or just want to understand it . She talks about being married and having a daughter and other crazy things that have happened to her and when she talks about things that could happen in her head I’m like I totally understand .
Quotes
i’m alergic to latex and it makes me break out in a rash so most condoms are out for me because the last thing any of us want is a vagina rash . The alternative is the ones made out of sheepskin , but it always creeps me out because does that mean Victor and I are having sex with a sheep ? A dead sheep , actually . So bestiality and necrophilia . And a three way ,I think . I actually mentioned this to Victor and he immediately booked a vasectomy , which is sweet because it’s nice he cares about me . He claimed it was less his caring and more ” Id rather have my nuts cut off than have to listen to you talk about having three ways with dead sheep.

When you come out of the grips of a depression there is an incredible relief, but not one you feel allowed to celebrate. Instead, the feeling of victory is replaced with anxiety that it will happen again, and with shame and vulnerability when you see how your illness affected your family, your work, everything left untouched while you struggled to survive. We come back to life thinner, paler, weaker … but as survivors. Survivors who don’t get pats on the back from coworkers who congratulate them on making it. Survivors who wake to more work than before because their friends and family are exhausted from helping them fight a battle they may not even understand. I hope to one day see a sea of people all wearing silver ribbons as a sign that they understand the secret battle, and as a celebration of the victories made each day as we individually pull ourselves up out of our foxholes to see our scars heal, and to remember what the sun looks like.”

Don’t sabotage yourself. There are plenty of other people willing to do that for free.”

Without the dark there isn’t light. Without the pain there is no relief. And I remind myself that I’m lucky to be able to feel such great sorrow, and also such great happiness. I can grab on to each moment of joy and live in those moments because I have seen the bright contrast from dark to light and back again. I am privileged to be able to recognize that the sound of laughter is a blessing and a song, and to realize that the bright hours spent with my family and friends are extraordinary treasures to be saved, because those same moments are a medicine, a balm. Those moments are a promise that life is worth fighting for, and that promise is what pulls me through when depression distorts reality and tries to convince me otherwise.”

Last month, as Victor drove me home so I could rest, I told him that sometimes I felt like his life would be easier without me. He paused a moment in thought and then said, “It might be easier. But it wouldn’t be better.”

I can tell you that “Just cheer up” is almost universally looked at as the most unhelpful depression cure ever. It’s pretty much the equivalent of telling someone who just had their legs amputated to “just walk it off.” Some people don’t understand that for a lot of us, mental illness is a severe chemical imbalance rather just having “a case of the Mondays.” Those same well-meaning people will tell me that I’m keeping myself from recovering because I really “just need to cheer up and smile.” That’s when I consider chopping off their arms and then blaming them for not picking up their severed arms so they can take them to the hospital to get reattached.”

most of my favorite people are dangerously fucked up but you’d never guess it because we’ve either become adept at hiding it or we’ve learned to bare it so honestly that it becomes the new normal. There’s a quote from The Breakfast Club that goes “We’re all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it.” I have it on a poster but I took a Sharpie to it and scratched out the word “hiding” because it reminds me that there’s a certain pride and freedom that comes from wearing your unique bizarreness like a badge of honor.”

Let it SnowLet it Snow by John Green
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Book review Let it snow by John green and ect … November 26- December 23An ill-timed storm on Christmas Eve buries the residents of Gracetown under multiple feet of snow and causes quite a bit of chaos. One brave soul ventures out into the storm from her stranded train and sets off a chain of events that will change quite a few lives. Over the next three days one girl takes a risky shortcut with an adorable stranger, three friends set out to win a race to the Waffle House (and the hash brown spoils), and the fate of a teacup pig falls into the hands of a lovesick barista.A trio of today’s bestselling authors – John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle – bring all the magic of the holidays to life in three hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and kisses that will steal your breath away
Review: I loved this book because this is different than most short stories it’s all based on this big storm in Gracetown and everyone knows each other it’s very cute the first story the Jubilee express : is about a girl name Jubilee who’s parents have been arrested for this flobie problem so she is on a train she’s trying to talk to her boyfriend who is a total dick then the train crashes and she crosses the train to a waffle house she meets some interesting characters along the line cheerleaders and a guy name Jeb then Julie meets Stewart he works at target and offers to bring him to his house and she agrees . They walk to his house and end up falling into a pond this was such a cute story Julie breaks up with her dick boyfriend then her and Stewart make out he freaks out she tries to leave and he finds her they talk and she kisses him I loved this story .5/5the second story :
Is about Tobin , JP and the Duke with the big storm they decide to make a big trip to the waffle house to see cheerleaders but the Duke isn’t to happy cause she’s a girl and it’s snowing but what she will do for hashbrowns they almost get attacked by the twins Tobin might like the Duke this one was really cute and funny I loved these characters Tobin almost gets frost bite but they finally get to the waffle house yay and Tobin and the duke kiss so cute . 5/5
the last story : Addie is going through a rough time she cheated on her boyfriend Jeb I didn’t really like Addie I think Jeb deserved so much better he was so sweet and cute . Addie works at starbucks and her friend is getting a teacup pig and she offers to pick it up but she gets distracted and someone buys it but she finds the owner and gets the pig back. Addie sent an email to Jeb to meet her at the starbucks he told her he’d think about it . I loved the ending cause all the couples are in the starbucks Tobbie and duke , Stewart and Julie and Jeb shows up and he kisses Addie so cute 3/5I loved this christmas book such a perfect christmas read .quotes “I always had this idea that you should never give up a happy middle in the hopes of a happy ending, because there is no such thing as a happy ending. Do you know what I mean?
There is so much to lose.” “Christmas is never over, unless you want it to be… Christmas is a state of mind.
” Lady and gentleman, when my parents left Korea with nothing but the clothes on their backs and the considerable wealth they had amassed in the shipping business, they had a dream. They had a dream that one day amid the snowy hilltops of western North Carolina, their son would lose his virginity to a cheerleader in the woman’s bathroom of a Waffle House just off the interstate. My parents have sacrificed so much for this dream! And that is why we must journey on, despite all trials and tribulations! Not for me and least of all for the poor cheerleader in question, but for my parents and indeed for all immigrants who came to his great nation in what they themselves could never have: CHEERLEADER SEX.” We are all flawed, my dear. Every one of us. And believe me, we’ve all made mistakes. You’ve just got to take a good hard look at yourself, change what needs to be changed, and move one, pet.”

There is always the risk: something is good and good and good and good, and then all at once it gets awkward. All at once, she sees you looking at her, and then she doesn’t want to joke around with you anymore, because she doesn’t want to seem flirty, because she doesn’t want you to think she likes you. It’s such a disaster, whenever, in the course of human relationships, someone begins to chisel away at the wall of separation between friendship and kissing. Breaking down that wall is the kind of story that might have a happy middle— oh, look, we broke down this wall, I’m going to look at you like a girl and you’re going to look at me like a boy and we’re going to play a fun game called Can I Put My Hand There What About There What About There. And sometimes that happy middle looks so great that you can convince yourself that it’s not the middle but will last forever.” “Were you playing with Stuart?” she asked. The question was loaded. I was a filthy, filthy woman, and even the five-year-old knew it.”
I realize Jubilee is a bit of a stripper name. You probably think I have heard the call of the pole.” “All I’m saying is that if you love someone, you should be willing to show it.”

Book Review: Carry the ocean Heidi Cullinan

Carry the Ocean (The Roosevelt, #1)Carry the Ocean by Heidi Cullinan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

December 6-9

Normal is just a setting on the dryer.

High school graduate Jeremey Samson is looking forward to burying his head under the covers and sleeping until it’s time to leave for college. Then a tornado named Emmet Washington enters his life. The double major in math and computer science is handsome, forward, wicked smart, interested in dating Jeremey—and he’s autistic.

But Jeremey doesn’t judge him for that. He’s too busy judging himself, as are his parents, who don’t believe in things like clinical depression. When his untreated illness reaches a critical breaking point, Emmet is the white knight who rescues him and brings him along as a roommate to The Roosevelt, a quirky new assisted living facility nearby.

As Jeremey finds his feet at The Roosevelt, Emmet slowly begins to believe he can be loved for the man he is behind the autism. But before he can trust enough to fall head over heels, he must trust his own conviction that friendship is a healing force, and love can overcome any obstacle.

Warning: Contains characters obsessed with trains and counting, positive representations of autism and mental illness, a very dark moment, and Elwood Blues.

Quotes:
sometimes I feel like everyone else is carrying a bucket of water but I’m trying to carry an ocean. its very hard. sometimes I would rather not carry my ocean, even if it meant I couldn’t be alive.”
I am normal. I belong. I have a friend who can kick ass from a wheelchair. I live independently and get good grades. I’m an excellent lover.

Like I said. I’m awesome. I’m Emmet David Washington. Train Man. The best autistic Blues Brother on the block.”

my emotions feel loud and big. its hard for me to keep hold of them. they weigh me down. make me heavy and tired and overwhelmed. sometimes I feel like everyone else is carrying a bucket of water but I’m trying to carry an ocean. its very hard. sometimes I would rather not carry my ocean, even if it meant I couldn’t be alive.”

Sometimes I liked him for his smile. Sometimes I liked him because he didn’t smile. Sometimes I got an erection because of the way he brushed his hair away from his face. It didn’t matter to my brain that these were odd reasons to care for someone. My brain, my body, my everything wanted to be Jeremey’s boyfriend.”

Favorite Quotes:
“I missed you every hour. And you know what the worst part was? It caught me completely by surprise. I’d catch myself just walking around to find you, not for any reason, just out of habit, because I’d seen something that I wanted to tell you about or because I wanted to hear your voice. And then I’d realize that you weren’t there anymore, and every time, every single time, it was like having the wind knocked out of me. I’ve risked my life for you. I’ve walked half the length of Ravka for you, and I’d do it again and again and again just to be with you, just to starve with you and freeze with you and hear you complain about hard cheese every day. So don’t tell me why we don’t belong together,” he said fiercely.”

I’m not like you, Mal. I never really fit in the way you did. I never really belonged anywhere.”
“You belonged with me.

“You’re shaking.”

“I’m not used to people trying to kill me.”

“Really? I hardly notice anymore.”

“Did you miss me, Alina? Did you miss me when you were gone?”
“Every day,” I said hoarsely.

But I see you now.

Book Review: Haikyu !! Volume 1 Haruichi Furudate

Haikyu!!, Vol. 1Haikyu!!, Vol. 1 by Haruichi Furudate

October 8-October 11
A chance event triggered Shouyou Hinata’s love for volleyball. His club had no members, but somehow persevered and finally made it into its very first and final regular match of middle school, where it was steamrolled by Tobio Kageyama, a superstar player known as “King of the Court.”

Vowing revenge, Hinata applied to the Karasuno High School volleyball club… only to come face-to-face with his hated rival, Kageyama

Book Review : I loved this first vol I watch the anime and I was wondering how the manga would be and in July it was released in English . This is about Hinata who has a love for volleyball since he saw on TV the little giant . Hinata gathered his friends and some first years and he finally got to play volleyball and then we meet Kageyama the king of the court . They Play against each other and Kageyama’s team wins . Hinata works hard and gets into high school and as he enters the gym there is Kageyama . Then we meet some new characters who I love Dashi , Sugawara and Tanaka . Hinata and Kageyama start fighting and Dashi freaks out and won’t let them join until they develop some team spirit . Kageyama and Hinata challenge the third years to a game and there going to be playing with Tanaka who is one of my favorite characters . Sugawara helps Hinata with volleyball and Kageyama practices with Hinata and then we meet the other first years Tsuki and yamaguchi . Tsuki is kind of a prick so they play the game and Hinata isn’t doing so well he keeps getting blocked and then he amazes everyone with his jumping . I plan to read the second vol soon I loved this Manga
