Book Review: I wanna text you up Tegan Hunter

I Wanna Text You Up (Texting, #2)

I Wanna Text You Up by Teagan Hunter

May 24-28

When I put up a ROOMMATE WANTED poster, he was the last person on earth I thought would respond.

He was also the last person on earth I’d agree to let live with me…on purpose.

But, here we are—roommates. I’m certain we can coexist without it being awkward, and I’m determined to make it work. There will be no sexual tension building with each accidental touch, no flutters when he wears that stupid backward baseball cap, and definitely no flirting when we text back and forth.

Caleb Mills can’t be the guy for me. He’s my best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

And that would be wrong…right?

Review : I loved the sequel I love Caleb and Zoe we met Zoe and Caleb in the first book Zoe is Delia best friend and Caleb is Delia’s ex boyfriend. Zoe puts up a roommate wanted since Delia is moving in with her boyfriend Zach. She finds someone and it turns out to be Caleb who moves in with his adorable kitten Mittens . Zoe is into Caleb but she thinks its wrong since girl code but it doesn’t stop her from flirting with him. Caleb disappears every Sunday. Caleb got injured and can’t play baseball anymore . Caleb and Zoe get closer they end up kissing and then Zoe ends up finally talking with Delia and she just wants them to be happy . Zoe invites caleb on spring break at her parents house .They have a great time and end up finally having sex but then caleb leaves and Zoe is pissed I would be to . Caleb shows up at Zoe Rocky horror even dressed up . They end up talking after and Caleb talks about his family they are kinda fucked up so he cuts them off he wants Zoe he wants to be happy with her .

Quotes : I still cannot believe you’re ditching me to move in with your stupid boyfriend,” I tell Delia. “And goats. Don’t forget those sweet baby goats I bought her,” said stupid boyfriend interjects,

I’m a strange breed of people when it comes to notebooks. I use every square inch on a page. Doodles, notes, lists, random reading assignments—it all goes in my book.

You know those silly videos you see online with the hot guys playing with kittens? The big, macho dudes falling apart at the sight of them? That’s what’s happening right now, in this car, right in front of me—and it’s every bit as swoon-worthy as it is in video form.

Holy crap—that’s why you don’t want me to live with you.” He grins, and it’s full of playfulness for the first time since I pulled up. “You want me.”

Me: Oh, everyone already knows you were checking me out because they were too. I’m hot. shrugs Caleb: You are like a female version of Zach. You know that, right?

Me: I have this theory that you’re really a stripper and you’re just embarrassed and don’t want to tell anyone about it. That’s why you work such crazy hours and come home smelling like old ladies and sadness. Caleb: LMAO Caleb: Are you serious? Me: Dead. Caleb: Holy fuck. dies Caleb: Zoe, I am NOT a stripper.

Your cat has three beds. Explain that.” He lifts a shoulder. “Mittens has a bed-hoarding problem. He’s in therapy for it. Don’t judge him

I’m going to marry the shit out of you one day, Zoe. Just wait.”

The Unhoneymooners

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 15-18

Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in…well, everything. Her identical twin sister Ami, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancé is something out of a romantic comedy (gag) and she’s managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a series of Internet contests (double gag). Worst of all, she’s forcing Olive to spend the day with her sworn enemy, Ethan, who just happens to be the best man.

Olive braces herself to get through 24 hours of wedding hell before she can return to her comfortable, unlucky life. But when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning from eating bad shellfish, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. And now there’s an all-expenses-paid honeymoon in Hawaii up for grabs.

Putting their mutual hatred aside for the sake of a free vacation, Olive and Ethan head for paradise, determined to avoid each other at all costs. But when Olive runs into her future boss, the little white lie she tells him is suddenly at risk to become a whole lot bigger. She and Ethan now have to pretend to be loving newlyweds, and her luck seems worse than ever. But the weird thing is that she doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, she feels kind of… lucky

Review : I really loved this book it was cute and funny and I loved the characters. This is about olive she’s a twin and her sister is getting married and olive is happy for her but she’s annoyed she has to deal with Ethan Dane’s older brother. But the reception doesn’t go to well when everyone but Ethan and olive get some kind of shellfish poisoning and Ethan and olive have to take their honeymoon. Ethan and olive don’t get along she thinks it has to do with him judging her eating cheese curds . They have to pretend to be married on this honeymoon and then olive runs into her new boss and Ethan and olive have dinner with her new boss and his wife . Then they run into Ethan ex girlfriend and her fiance very awkward. Olive starts enjoying Ethans company and hes not what she thought he was . Ethan ends up drinking a lot and ends up kissing olive he tells her he likes her and apparently Dane told Ethan when they first met not to bother with olive . Ethan and olive hook up and then they end up start dating but the problem is ethan let it be clear he never planned those trips Dane did and he was cheating on ami . When they get back home olive tells her boss the truth and he let’s her go and then Dane hits on her and Ethan doesn’t believe her and either does ami when olive tells her and then Ethan breaks up with her . Ami finds texts on Dane phone . Ami invites all the girls Dane has been cheating on her and Ethan shows up and Ethan is trying to get her back and he shows up at the restaurant she’s working at and they get back together. Two years later they are back at Maui with her sister and her new boyfriend and Ethan plans on proposing. And he does kinda and it was so sweet so them .
Quotes:“I can appreciate my body in a bikini and still want to set fire to the patriarchy.”

the only coherent thought that comes to mind is how insulting it is that eyelashes like his were wasted on Satan’s Errand Boy”

Rumor has it your dad brought her flowers and she pulled off every petal and used them to spell PUTA in the snow.”

Ethan Thomas is doing something weird to my emotions.”

knew he was a book lover, but to be the same kind of book lover I am? It makes my insides melt.”

Book Review : unscripted Nicole Kronzer

Unscripted

Unscripted by Nicole Kronzer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 11-14

A funny and timely debut YA about the toxic masculinity at a famous improv comedy camp

Seventeen-year-old Zelda Bailey-Cho has her future all planned out: improv camp, then Second City, and finally Saturday Night Live. She’s thrilled when she lands a spot on the coveted varsity team at a prestigious improv camp, which means she’ll get to perform for professional scouts—including her hero, Nina Knightley. But even though she’s hardworking and talented, Zelda’s also the only girl on Varsity, so she’s the target for humiliation from her teammates. And her 20-year-old coach, Ben, is cruel to her at practice and way too nice to her when they’re alone. Zelda wants to fight back, but is sacrificing her best shot at her dream too heavy a price to pay?

Equal parts funny and righteous, Unscripted is a moving debut novel that Printz Award winner Nina LaCour calls “a truly special book, written at exactly the right time.”

Review: I loved this book it was a very emotional read but it was funny to . This is about Zelda she is going to a improve camp with her brother and his boyfriend. She meets her bunkmates and they are all very different but awesome girls . Zelda has to deal with a coach who is abusive asshole and her teammates are Jerks who don’t think girls are funny . A lot goes on in this book Zelda also meets some great boy scouts Jesse namely is my favorite he is actually kind to Zelda and respects her. Ben is a monster he assaults her she kicks him to get away he yells at her tells her the only reason she’s on the team is cause she’s hot and she’s a girl but he’s 20 and she’s 17 she’s a minor yet he touched her inappropriately many times and when she tries to tell the two Paul’s in charge they don’t listen. She goes on a hike with Jesse and she tells him she likes him and then when she gets back at camp Ben is there and he hits Jesse and then she hits Ben where the sun don’t shine and she gets kicked out of camp yep thats logic but she ends up staying with Karen the nurse at boy scout camp. And the police officer asks her if she wants to press charges she thinks about it for a second and then the Paul’s say if she doesn’t press charges she can come back to camp what a bunch of assholes so she presses charges. They ended up sneaking her back onto camp so she could meet Nina and they do her sketch she wrote . Everyone needs to read this book.

Quotes:

The situation should be if you two are happy together, everyone else should be happy for you. And not gross-happy.”

Lady doctor? I guess that makes you my gentleman patient.” I looked down at his “chart.” “Ah! I see you’ve had a series of brain injuries that make you say inappropriate things.

I was relying on books by Rainbow Rowell and Nicola Yoon and Maurene Goo and on movies like The Princess Bride and Love, Simon

Hey, Ellie. Come on,” Ben said. “Smile.” “She doesn’t have to smile if she doesn’t want to.”

Is that what you want, Zelda-girl?” Hanna asked. She pushed my knee. “Someone who’s only nice to you sometimes?”

If I leave, they’ll have won.” “If you stay,” Sirena mused, “doesn’t that excuse their behavior?

Will stopped walking. “You know, I’m offended by that. Guys everywhere should be offended. ‘Boys will be boys’? What—we’re so out of control we can’t be kind? Thoughtful? Human? ‘Boys will be boys’ aligns us with wild animals. I can think about what I say before I say it. I can anticipate how someone else might feel before I do something. I can keep it in my pants.”

Book Review : Eight perfect murders Peter Swanson

Eight Perfect Murders (Malcolm Kershaw, #1)

Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

April 15-18

“Fiendish good fun.” —Anthony Horowitz

From the hugely talented author of Before She Knew Him comes a chilling tale of psychological suspense and an homage to the thriller genre tailor-made for fans: the story of a bookseller who finds himself at the center of an FBI investigation because a very clever killer has started using his list of fiction’s most ingenious murders.

Years ago, bookseller and mystery aficionado Malcolm Kershaw compiled a list of the genre’s most unsolvable murders, those that are almost impossible to crack—which he titled “Eight Perfect Murders”—chosen from among the best of the best including Agatha Christie’s A. B. C. Murders, Patricia Highsmith’s Strangers on a Train, Ira Levin’s Death Trap, A. A. Milne’s Red House Mystery, Anthony Berkeley Cox’s Malice Aforethought, James M. Cain’s Double Indemnity, John D. Macdonald’s The Drowner, and Donna Tartt’s A Secret History.

But no one is more surprised than Mal, now the owner of the Old Devils Bookstore in Boston, when an FBI agent comes knocking on his door one snowy day in February. She’s looking for information about a series of unsolved murders that look eerily similar to the killings on Mal’s old list. And the FBI agent isn’t the only one interested in this bookseller who spends almost every night at home reading. There is killer is out there, watching his every move—a diabolical threat who knows way too much about Mal’s personal history, especially the secrets he’s never told anyone, even his recently deceased wife.

To protect himself, Mal begins looking into possible suspects . . . and sees a killer in everyone around him. But Mal doesn’t count on the investigation leaving a trail of death in its wake. Suddenly, a series of shocking twists leaves more victims dead—and the noose around Mal’s neck grows so tight he might never escape.

Review: This book was awesome it was definitely a Rollercoaster of a book this book is about Mal who owns a mystery bookstore and one day the FBI need to ask him some questions about a list he made years ago for the site called eight perfect murders and there have been murders following his list and they need to find out who is doing it and it may be someone Mal knows. Mal has a past know one knows about he hired someone to do a strangers on the train murder he would kill the person they want and they would kill the person Mal wants . Man’s wife was a drug addict and was cheating on him and she got killed in a car crash but he wanted the man dead so that’s where this other guy who is now killing others comes in . Mal must find out who it is. He asks his former cop friend to look into a guy who he thinks did it but then he goes to see the guy who he thinks is the killer but he turns up dead also . Then he goes to his friend and part owner of the bookstore Brian and Tess’s house I was so sure it was Tess but she just wanted to sleep with Mal it was Marty the cop he got a taste of killing after killing the guy Mal wanted him to kill but Mal kills him then calls Gwen and tells her everything and then leaves to kill himself I wasn’t fond of the ending but other than that I loved this book.

Quotes : Books are time travel. True readers all know this. But books don’t just take you back to the time in which they were written; they can take you back to different versions of yourself.

I ran my thumb along the edge of the book, riffling the pages, and that musty, prickly smell of an old paperback reached my nostrils. I’ve always loved that smell,

We never get the whole truth, not from anybody. When we first meet someone, before words are ever spoken, there are already lies and half-truths. The clothes we wear cover the truth of our bodies, but they also present who we want to be to the world. They are fabrications, figuratively and literally.

Handsome Death

Handsome Death by Sara Dobie Bauer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

April 11-14

I’m not hunting him; I’m protecting him.
At least, that’s what I tell myself.
In New York City, a beautiful creature like Tristan Clement should not be walking the streets alone, and I’m the perfect vampire to watch his back.
But what if keeping him safe isn’t enough anymore? What if I want to touch? And taste?
I need him. But I’ve never needed anyone.

—————

In a world where paranormal creatures live amongst us and must follow certain laws, living life as a dangerous loner works for vampire Ethan. Inhabiting his gleaming apartment, wearing his designer suits, jetting around the world as a fanged killer-for-hire, Ethan does it all alone.

That is, until he literally runs into Tristan. Tristan, who is clearly trouble wrapped in skinny jeans and an oversized sweater. Tristan, with his shock of angelic blond curls. Tristan, who plays piano more beautifully than the old masters– and Ethan would know; he saw Beethoven.

Tristan is gorgeous, a little sassy, and irresistible. Also, Ethan is horrified to note, Tristan has no idea how incredibly tempting he is to things that go bump in the night.

Overcome by the urge to keep Tristan safe, Ethan begins to… well, stalk is such a strong word. What starts as an obsession quickly becomes something more, something that Ethan needs. And to his surprise, Tristan seems to need him, too…

This darkly romantic tale delivers steamy passion and a happily ever after. Be advised that Handsome Death includes explicit m/m content, stalking, mentions of past abuse, and graphic violence.

Book Review: The friend zone Abby Jimenez

The Friend Zone

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Feb 14 – April 10

Kristen Petersen doesn’t do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don’t get her. She’s also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.

Planning her best friend’s wedding is bittersweet for Kristen — especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He’s funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he’d be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it’s harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length.
Review : I loved this book it was funny cute and sad and I loved the characters this is about Kristen and Josh . Josh hits Kristen’s car when she’s going to meet Josh cause her best friend is engaged to a firefighter and its family day . Kristen and Josh end up hitting it off and Josh ends up being a contractor for Kristens dog business. Kristen can’t have kids she is getting surgery after Sloans wedding her boyfriend Tyler who is in the military is supposed to be moving in soon . Josh and Kristen get closer and they both like each other but Josh wants kids and she can’t have them so she doesn’t want him to settle . Then her boyfriend of two years breaks up with her on voice-mail he reenlisted. Kristen and Josh hook up but she only wants it to be a hook up thing no feelings but Josh wants to be with her and love her and they both love each other . Then tragedy happens Brandon sloans fiancee gets in a crash a drunk driver hits him and he’s in the hospital and then he dies . Josh found out ways for him and Kristen to have kids and then they get married I was sobbing .They go to the doctor to schedule her surgery and it turns out she’s pregnant. It skips to two years later they have a son named Oliver Brandon so cute loved this book.

Quotes: “I already know how I’m going to die”…”How?” I asked. “Spider bite. Or being sarcastic at the wrong time

“I’d found my person.
She was the foundation. She was the thing that all other things are built on. Everything was secondary to being with her. It didn’t matter where I worked or if I liked my job, where I lived or how many kids I had. My happiness, my sanity, my well-being – it all started with her. And now that I knew that, I didn’t want to just be her boyfriend – I wanted everything.”

“You know what I think the trick to dealing with family is? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.”

“What?” I said, spreading strawberry jam on my toast.

“Marrying your best friend.” He wiped his mouth with a napkin. “You marry your best friend, and at family gatherings you deal with your shitty relatives together. You laugh about it and have each other’s backs. Share looks and text each other from across the room when everyone else is being an asshole. And nobody else really matters because you have your own universe.”

He held my eyes for a moment. “That’s what I want. I want someone to be my universe.”

He’d have no problem finding that. No problem at all. Josh could have any woman he wanted. After all, he was the sun. Warm and vital. He would be the center of a big family one day, just like he wanted, and they’d all adore him.

And I was just some passing comet. Momentarily distracting. Useless and unimportant. I was nice to look at, fun to observe, but I’d never give life or be the center of anything.

I’d streak through and be gone, and Josh would forget me before we knew it.”

Book Review: The legend of the Golden Raven k. Ancrum

The Legend of the Golden Raven (The Wicker King #1.5)

The Legend of the Golden Raven by K. Ancrum

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

April 2-3
K. Ancrum’s The Legend of the Golden Raven novella, part fairy tale and part gritty reality, follows a boy as he descends into madness.

August and Jack weren’t meant to be friends. One is a misfit with a pyro streak and the other a golden boy on the rugby team. But as their relationship intensifies, Jack slowly begins to lose his mind—taking readers on an intimate journey into the fantasy kingdom creeping into the edges of his world.

As the novella moves back and forth between a medieval legend and our own, contemporary world, nothing is as it seems. The boys alienate everyone around them as they struggle with their sanity and as Jack’s quest to fulfill a dark prophecy begins to consume them both . . .

Devour this companion novella to The Wicker King.

Review : this novella was very interesting it was from Jack’s POV and we got to see what he saw and how he loves August and his fantasy world I enjoyed reading it .

Quotes :
You’re the love of my life, you know,” he said bravely.

Book Review: The wicker king K. Ancrum

The Wicker King

The Wicker King by K. Ancrum

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

March 22-April 2

Jack once saved August’s life . . . now can August save him?

August is a misfit with a pyro streak and Jack is a golden boy on the varsity rugby team–but their intense friendship goes way back. Jack begins to see increasingly vivid hallucinations that take the form of an elaborate fantasy kingdom creeping into the edges of the real world. With their parents’ unreliable behavior, August decides to help Jack the way he always has–on his own. He accepts the visions as reality, even when Jack leads them on a quest to fulfill a dark prophecy.

August and Jack alienate everyone around them as they struggle with their sanity, free falling into the surreal fantasy world that feels made for them. In the end, each one must choose his own truth.

Written in vivid micro-fiction with a stream-of-consciousness feel and multimedia elements, K. Ancrum’s The Wicker King touches on themes of mental health and explores a codependent relationship fraught with tension, madness and love.

Review : this book was freaking crazy and I loved it I didn’t think I would but I did the relationship between the boys is definitely very toxic I will say . This book is very interesting cause if you read the physical book the pages start out light and then go to black very cool. This book is about Jack and August . Jack sees a world August cant and August will always fallow Jack . Jack is seeing a fantasy world where he is the wicker king and they need to get jack to stop seeing visions and August knows he should take jack somewhere to get help but then they burn down a old toy factory and get sent to a mental hospital Jack had a tumor and he finally stopped seeing visions Jack and August kissed .
Quotes

I never said I didn’t feel the same,” Jack said harshly. “Just because I don’t see the kingdom doesn’t mean it doesn’t still exist,” Jack said furiously. “As long as one of us remembers it, it still counts. We decide the end of the game, not them. Not anyone else. You’re so stupid, August. You’re so stupid and I love you so much.”
Jack kissed him so carefully that August thought he would fall to pieces. Kissed him with the weight of knowing the price of risk. Then he gazed back at August like his heart was already breaking.

It was the same face that Jack had made on the roof, in the middle of the night, when they rolled in the grass, when he sat back with August’s blood and ink on his hands, when his face was lit orange with flames, when he’d opened the door to Rina’s room, when he stared across the gym at the homecoming dance, when he pulled him from the river and breathed him back to life.

Jack had been waiting. He’d been trying. He was scared. There were tears in his eyes and it took August’s breath away.”

March 31

In this sharp-witted romantic comedy about the clash of the classes (of all kinds), a poor girl at a rich kids’ school ends up working at the school’s toniest club-and gets mistaken for a boy!
In this high anticipated title, a kind of cross between HANA-KIMI and BOYS OVER FLOWERS, Haruhi is a scholarship student at an exclusive private school: Ouran High School, where it turns out the bespectacled, short-haired Haruhi is the only student from a lower-middle class family in attendance!

Then, to make matters worse, one day she breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to one of the campus clubs-a mysterious outfit called the “Host Club,” consisting of six superrich (and gorgeous) guys. Haruhi can’t afford to pay back the cost of the vase, of course, so she’s forced to work for the Host Club! And it’s there that she discovers just how rich all the boys are and how different the rich are from you and me…And meanwhile, the eccentric but good-hearted rich boys are shocked to find out how life is on the other side…

Book Review: a heart in a body in the world Deb Caletti

A Heart in a Body in the World

A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

March 6-11

When everything has been taken from you, what else is there to do but run?

So that’s what Annabelle does—she runs from Seattle to Washington, DC, through mountain passes and suburban landscapes, from long lonely roads to college towns. She’s not ready to think about the why yet, just the how—muscles burning, heart pumping, feet pounding the earth. But no matter how hard she tries, she can’t outrun the tragedy from the past year, or the person—The Taker—that haunts her.

Followed by Grandpa Ed in his RV and backed by her brother and two friends (her self-appointed publicity team), Annabelle becomes a reluctant activist as people connect her journey to the trauma from her past. Her cross-country run gains media attention and she is cheered on as she crosses state borders, and is even thrown a block party and given gifts. The support would be nice, if Annabelle could escape the guilt and the shame from what happened back home. They say it isn’t her fault, but she can’t feel the truth of that.

Through welcome and unwelcome distractions, she just keeps running, to the destination that awaits her. There, she’ll finally face what lies behind her—the miles and love and loss…and what is to come.

Review : this book was beautiful and powerful and everyone needs to read it . This is about Annabelle who has been through a tragedy who decides to run to Washington. Annabelle refers to the guy who caused her pain the taker . So shes running and her grandpa is in a RV meeting up with her on the way . Annabelle meets a guy named Luke he makes a playlist for her . Annabelle talks about the taker who is a creep who becomes obsessed with her after her boyfriend breaks up with her . Shes running and shes grieving because the anniversary of the event has come up . Annabelle is remembering The taker takes her to a concert he kisses her and she doesn’t like it he becomes more obsessed with her and then she gets back with her ex boyfriend and the taker gets mad so mad when going to a party with her friends her friend kat and her are dressed very alike and the taker comes to the party with a gun and shoots Will and Kat cause he thought Kat was her . She runs more her grandpa is getting closer to Luke’s grandmother. Luke admits he likes Annabelle and he kisses her . She makes it to Washington and then in September she goes to court and she faces him and he gets what he deserves.

Quotes:

It’s the people who know you and love you that save you.”

The point is not him being weird or not being weird. The point is that you feel uncomfortable, and you’re trying to talk yourself out of it because you think you’re supposed to be nice.

Oh, every person is a book with chapters. Some are glorious and some are dark and ugly. Every person survives something.”

Why does anyone do anything impossible? To be bigger than the big bastard. I’m not bigger . Yeah? Who is standing here ? You , or the bastard?

Difference don’t matter all that much when you love someone

“Exactly. I’m almost done. Last pages.” “I shouldn’t interrupt, then.” “Hey! You know rule number one. You must be a reader.” “I thought rule number one is ‘Don’t tell the ending.’ ” “Wait. Rule number one: Hate the movie version.” “Probably, all our rules are rule number one. We can get a little hard-core.” “Always judge a person by their shelves. To fold or not to fold the pages.”

She does not read it the way she and Kat used to read books – devouring them with the speed of two people famished for words, ideas, and beautiful sentences that make you feel everything. No, she reads Endurance the way a person might read the Bible – in small passages, repeated again and again, to help her stay grounded. To help her persevere, and understand her place in the world.
She has missed books, but she’s been afraid of them, same as music. Books make you feel things hard. They hit the tender spots. Books remind her of her and Kat, but also of her old self, too, the mostly carefree self. The girl who was just so happy to come home from the library with a big stack of new stuff to read. Books were dangerous.”

In this sharp-witted romantic comedy about the clash of the classes (of all kinds), a poor girl at a rich kids’ school ends up working at the school’s toniest club, and gets mistaken for a boy!

One day, Haruhi, a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to the “Host Club,” a mysterious campus group consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. To pay back the damages, she is forced to work for the club, and it’s there that she discovers just how wealthy the boys are and how different they are from everybody else.

Review : I loved this volume it was funny so the host club ends up going to the beach and then a situation happens where Haruhi gets hurt and Tamaki gets mad at her cause she could of been in danger so he vows not to talk to her until she sees it . But then she realizes the rest of the host club was worried about her also . Tamaki finds out Haruhi is afraid of thunderstorms so he helps her not be scared but the host club walks in on him and Haruhi with a blindfold on her it was to funny . The next part was the is where we meet girls from a all girls school zuco club who want Haruhi to join their club and leave the host club but Haruhi never planned on leaving and the host club members end up dressing as girls . Then we get to a Halloween part where Haruhi gets “cursed” cause she saw a witch but it turns out to be a trick the twins were playing on Haruhi so she could enjoy Halloween which was kinda nice . The host club members end up checking out Haruhi house and they have tea and cake and Haruhi is going to make lunch for them when tamaki falls on Haruhi and then her dad comes home .
