Kristen Petersen doesn’t do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don’t get her. She’s also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.
Planning her best friend’s wedding is bittersweet for Kristen — especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He’s funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he’d be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it’s harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length. Review : I loved this book it was funny cute and sad and I loved the characters this is about Kristen and Josh . Quotes: “I already know how I’m going to die”…”How?” I asked. “Spider bite. Or being sarcastic at the wrong time
“I’d found my person. She was the foundation. She was the thing that all other things are built on. Everything was secondary to being with her. It didn’t matter where I worked or if I liked my job, where I lived or how many kids I had. My happiness, my sanity, my well-being – it all started with her. And now that I knew that, I didn’t want to just be her boyfriend – I wanted everything.”
“You know what I think the trick to dealing with family is? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.”
“What?” I said, spreading strawberry jam on my toast.
“Marrying your best friend.” He wiped his mouth with a napkin. “You marry your best friend, and at family gatherings you deal with your shitty relatives together. You laugh about it and have each other’s backs. Share looks and text each other from across the room when everyone else is being an asshole. And nobody else really matters because you have your own universe.”
He held my eyes for a moment. “That’s what I want. I want someone to be my universe.”
He’d have no problem finding that. No problem at all. Josh could have any woman he wanted. After all, he was the sun. Warm and vital. He would be the center of a big family one day, just like he wanted, and they’d all adore him.
And I was just some passing comet. Momentarily distracting. Useless and unimportant. I was nice to look at, fun to observe, but I’d never give life or be the center of anything.
I’d streak through and be gone, and Josh would forget me before we knew it.”
April 2-3 K. Ancrum’s The Legend of the Golden Raven novella, part fairy tale and part gritty reality, follows a boy as he descends into madness.
August and Jack weren’t meant to be friends. One is a misfit with a pyro streak and the other a golden boy on the rugby team. But as their relationship intensifies, Jack slowly begins to lose his mind—taking readers on an intimate journey into the fantasy kingdom creeping into the edges of his world.
As the novella moves back and forth between a medieval legend and our own, contemporary world, nothing is as it seems. The boys alienate everyone around them as they struggle with their sanity and as Jack’s quest to fulfill a dark prophecy begins to consume them both . . .
Devour this companion novella to The Wicker King.
Review : this novella was very interesting it was from Jack’s POV and we got to see what he saw and how he loves August and his fantasy world I enjoyed reading it .
Quotes : You’re the love of my life, you know,” he said bravely.
Jack once saved August’s life . . . now can August save him?
August is a misfit with a pyro streak and Jack is a golden boy on the varsity rugby team–but their intense friendship goes way back. Jack begins to see increasingly vivid hallucinations that take the form of an elaborate fantasy kingdom creeping into the edges of the real world. With their parents’ unreliable behavior, August decides to help Jack the way he always has–on his own. He accepts the visions as reality, even when Jack leads them on a quest to fulfill a dark prophecy.
August and Jack alienate everyone around them as they struggle with their sanity, free falling into the surreal fantasy world that feels made for them. In the end, each one must choose his own truth.
Written in vivid micro-fiction with a stream-of-consciousness feel and multimedia elements, K. Ancrum’s The Wicker King touches on themes of mental health and explores a codependent relationship fraught with tension, madness and love.
Review : this book was freaking crazy and I loved it I didn’t think I would but I did the relationship between the boys is definitely very toxic I will say . This book is very interesting cause if you read the physical book the pages start out light and then go to black very cool. This book is about Jack and August . Jack sees a world August cant and August will always fallow Jack . Jack is seeing a fantasy world where he is the wicker king and they need to get jack to stop seeing visions and August knows he should take jack somewhere to get help but then they burn down a old toy factory and get sent to a mental hospital Jack had a tumor and he finally stopped seeing visions Jack and August kissed . Quotes
I never said I didn’t feel the same,” Jack said harshly. “Just because I don’t see the kingdom doesn’t mean it doesn’t still exist,” Jack said furiously. “As long as one of us remembers it, it still counts. We decide the end of the game, not them. Not anyone else. You’re so stupid, August. You’re so stupid and I love you so much.” Jack kissed him so carefully that August thought he would fall to pieces. Kissed him with the weight of knowing the price of risk. Then he gazed back at August like his heart was already breaking.
It was the same face that Jack had made on the roof, in the middle of the night, when they rolled in the grass, when he sat back with August’s blood and ink on his hands, when his face was lit orange with flames, when he’d opened the door to Rina’s room, when he stared across the gym at the homecoming dance, when he pulled him from the river and breathed him back to life.
Jack had been waiting. He’d been trying. He was scared. There were tears in his eyes and it took August’s breath away.”

In this high anticipated title, a kind of cross between HANA-KIMI and BOYS OVER FLOWERS, Haruhi is a scholarship student at an exclusive private school: Ouran High School, where it turns out the bespectacled, short-haired Haruhi is the only student from a lower-middle class family in attendance!

When everything has been taken from you, what else is there to do but run?
So that’s what Annabelle does—she runs from Seattle to Washington, DC, through mountain passes and suburban landscapes, from long lonely roads to college towns. She’s not ready to think about the why yet, just the how—muscles burning, heart pumping, feet pounding the earth. But no matter how hard she tries, she can’t outrun the tragedy from the past year, or the person—The Taker—that haunts her.
Followed by Grandpa Ed in his RV and backed by her brother and two friends (her self-appointed publicity team), Annabelle becomes a reluctant activist as people connect her journey to the trauma from her past. Her cross-country run gains media attention and she is cheered on as she crosses state borders, and is even thrown a block party and given gifts. The support would be nice, if Annabelle could escape the guilt and the shame from what happened back home. They say it isn’t her fault, but she can’t feel the truth of that.
Through welcome and unwelcome distractions, she just keeps running, to the destination that awaits her. There, she’ll finally face what lies behind her—the miles and love and loss…and what is to come.

Quotes:
It’s the people who know you and love you that save you.”
The point is not him being weird or not being weird. The point is that you feel uncomfortable, and you’re trying to talk yourself out of it because you think you’re supposed to be nice.
Oh, every person is a book with chapters. Some are glorious and some are dark and ugly. Every person survives something.”
Why does anyone do anything impossible? To be bigger than the big bastard. I’m not bigger . Yeah? Who is standing here ? You , or the bastard?
Difference don’t matter all that much when you love someone
“Exactly. I’m almost done. Last pages.” “I shouldn’t interrupt, then.” “Hey! You know rule number one. You must be a reader.” “I thought rule number one is ‘Don’t tell the ending.’ ” “Wait. Rule number one: Hate the movie version.” “Probably, all our rules are rule number one. We can get a little hard-core.” “Always judge a person by their shelves. To fold or not to fold the pages.”
She does not read it the way she and Kat used to read books – devouring them with the speed of two people famished for words, ideas, and beautiful sentences that make you feel everything. No, she reads Endurance the way a person might read the Bible – in small passages, repeated again and again, to help her stay grounded. To help her persevere, and understand her place in the world. She has missed books, but she’s been afraid of them, same as music. Books make you feel things hard. They hit the tender spots. Books remind her of her and Kat, but also of her old self, too, the mostly carefree self. The girl who was just so happy to come home from the library with a big stack of new stuff to read. Books were dangerous.”

An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt but her heart never wavers
Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become the King’s Champion. But she is far from loyal to the crown. Though she hides her secret vigilantly, her deadly charade becomes difficult when she realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. No one is above questioning her allegiance—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.
Then, one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena’s world shatters, she will be forced to decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie … and whom she is willing to fight for.
Review: I freaking loved this book even more than the first one so Celena is now the king’s champion and has to kill people on his list but she cant do it so shes been faking his death now shes supposed to kill this guy named Archer who apparently is in charge of this movement against the king . Celena sees this creature in the library and is freaked out and goes to visit Elena but shes resting but the door knocker is talking his name is Mort . She is trying to figure out a way to fake Archer death so she meets with him and tells him the plan and threatens him if he screws her over .I liked chaol way more in this book he cares so much for Celena they ended up dancing on one occasion. The king is still trying to silence Nehemiah and there is a hit on Nehemiah life . Chaol and Celena have dinner and they kiss and end up sleeping together they are finally happy . Dorian has discovered he may have some magic abilities. Chaol is taken and Celena goes to get him and Archer is apart of a movement what the fuck and Nehemiah was killed by an assassin and Celena kills her killer . Celena is in mourning over Nehemiah cause they got into a fight before she died . Celena goes back into the library and finds the creature and Dorian is there also what the fuck is the king hiding . Celena opens a portal to talk to Nehemiah and it’s bad news cause something comes out after she talks to Nehemiah and Dorian and Chaol come and help but she gets into the portal and Celena turns into her true form a Fae what the hell . She tells chaol that she is Fae . Chaol ends up getting the king to send her to wendolyn where there are Fae . Chaol finds out that Celena is the lost princess.
Quotes
Dance with me, Celaena,” he said again, his voice rough. When her eyes met his she forgot about the cold, and the moon, and the glass palace looming above them. The secret library and the king’s plans and Mort and Elena faded into nothing. She took his hand and there was only the music and Chaol.
Chaol raised his brows. “So I’m just here for decoration?”
“Be grateful I consider you a worthy accessory.”
“Roland gave her a courtier’s smile. “And what sort of work do you do for my uncle? ” Dorian shifted on his feet and Chaol went very still, but Celaena returned Roland’s smile and said, “I bury the king’s opponents where nobody will ever find them.”
Who said anything about shame?” She gestured down to her naked body, even though it was covered by the blanket. “Honestly, I’m surprised you’re not strutting about, boasting to everyone. I certainly would be if I’d tumbled me. “Does your love for yourself know no bounds?” “Absolutely none.”
If they wanted Adarlan’s Assassin, they’d get her.
And Wyrd help them when she arrived.”
If they wanted Adarlan’s Assassin, they’d get her.
And Wyrd help them when she arrived.”
Because she wasn’t human, Chaol realized, gaping at her from where he still crouched over Fleetfoot. No – she wasn’t human at all. Celaena was Fae.”
There was a poem scribbled at the top of the Ashryver family tree, as though some student had dashed it down as a reminder while studying.
Ashryver Eyes The fairest eyes, from legends old Of brightest blue, ringed with gold
Bright blue eyes, ringed with gold. A strangled cry came out of him. How many times had he looked into those eyes? How many times had he seen her avert her gaze, that one bit proof she couldn’t hide, from the king?
Celaena Sardothien wasn’t in league with Aelin Ashryver Galathynius.
Celaena Sardothien was Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, heir to the throne and righful Queen of Terrasen.”

Quotes :How do you feel, Georgie?” whispered Mrs. Weasley. George’s fingers groped for the side of his head. “Saintlike,” he murmured. “What’s wrong with him?” croaked Fred, looking terrified. “Is his mind affected?” “Saintlike,” repeated George, opening his eyes and looking up at his brother. “You see…I’m HOLEY, Fred, geddit?”
Seventeen, eh!” said Hagrid as he accepted a bucket-sized glass of wine from Fred. “Six years to the day we met, Harry, d’yeh remember it?” “Vaguely,” said Harry, grinning up at him. “Didn’t you smash down the front door, give Dudley a pig’s tail, and tell me I was a wizard?” “I forge’ the details,” Hagrid chortled.”
Here lies Dobby, a free elf.”
There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione’s arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet. “Is this the moment?” Harry asked weakly, and when nothing happened except that Ron and Hermione gripped each other still more firmly and swayed on the spot, he raised his voice. “OI! There’s a war going on here!” Ron and Hermione broke apart, their arms still around each other. “I know, mate,” said Ron, who looked as though he had recently been hit on the back of the head with a Bludger, “so it’s now or never, isn’t it?
On this spot, on the night of 31 October 1981, Lily and James Potter lost their lives. Their son, Harry, remains the only wizard ever to have survived the Killing Curse. This house, invisible to Muggles, has been left in its ruined state as a monument to the Potters and as a reminder of the violence that tore apart their family. And all around these neatly lettered words, scribbles had been added by other witches and wizards who had come to see the place where the Boy Who Lived had escaped. Some had merely signed their names in Everlasting Ink; others had carved their initials into the wood, still others had left messages. The most recent of these, shining brightly over sixteen years’ worth of magical graffiti, all said similar things. Good luck, Harry, wherever you are. If you read this, Harry, we’re all behind you! Long live Harry Potter.”
Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all those who live without love.
“I am sorry too,” said Lupin. “Sorry I will never know [my son]… but he will know why I died and I hope he will understand I was trying to make a world in which he could live a happier life.”
Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears. “After all this time?” “Always,” said Snape.”
That wand’s more trouble than it’s worth,’ said Harry. ‘And quite honestly,’ he turned away from the painted portraits, thinking now only of the four-poster bed lying waiting for him in Gryffindor Tower, and wondering whether Kreacher might bring him a sandwich there, ‘I’ve had enough trouble for a lifetime.”
Bellatrix was still fighting too, fifty yards away from Voldemort, and like her master she dueled three at once: Hermione, Ginny, and Luna, all battling their hardest, but Bellatrix was equal to them, and Harry’s attention was diverted as a Killing Curse shot so close to Ginny that she missed death by an inch — He changed course, running at Bellatrix rather than Voldemort, but before he had gone a few steps he was knocked sideways. “NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!” Mrs. Weasley threw off her cloak as she ran, freeing her arms. Bellatrix spun on the spot, roaring with laughter at the sight of her new challenger. “OUT OF MY WAY!” shouted Mrs. Weasley to the three girls, and with a swipe of her wand she began to duel. Harry watched with terror and elation as Molly Weasley’s wand slashed and twirled, and Bellatrix Lestrange’s smile faltered and became a snarl. Jets of light flew from both wands, the floor around the witches’ feet became hot and cracked; both women were fighting to kill. “No!” Mrs. Weasley cried as a few students ran forward, trying to come to her aid. “Get back! Get back! She is mine!” Hundreds of people now lined the walls, watching the two fights, Voldemort and his three opponents, Bellatrix and Molly, and Harry stood, invisible, torn between both, wanting to attack and yet to protect, unable to be sure that he would not hit the innocent. “What will happen to your children when I’ve killed you?” taunted Bellatrix, as mad as her master, capering as Molly’s curses danced around her. “When Mummy’s gone the same way as Freddie?” “You — will — never — touch — our — children — again!” screamed Mrs. Weasley. Bellatrix laughed, the same exhilarated laugh her cousin Sirius had given as he toppled backward through the veil, and suddenly Harry knew what was going to happen before it did. Molly’s curse soared beneath Bellatrix’s outstretched arm and hit her squarely in the chest, directly over her heart. Bellatrix’s gloating smile froze, her eyes seemed to bulge: For the tiniest space of time she knew what had happened, and then she toppled, and the watching crowd roared, and Voldemort screamed.”
Albus Severus,” Harry said quietly, so that nobody but Ginny could hear, and she was tactful enough to pretend to be waving to Rose, who was now on the train, “you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew.”
But if it matters to you, you’ll be able to choose Gryffindor over Slytherin. The Sorting Hat takes your choice into account.” “Really?” “It did for me,” said Harry. He had never told any of his children that before, and he saw the wonder in Albus’s face when he said it.”

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.
Review: This book is beautiful I love colleen Hoover’s books and this is now one of my new favorites of hers it’s so raw and beautiful. This is a duel POV book about a mother and daughter
Its starts out when morgan the mother figures out she’s pregnant at 17 and she’s at this party with her boyfriend his friend and her sister . There are these moments she has with Jonah that she feels something there . Then we get to where her daughter Clara is 16 and she is driving and sees this guy she has a crush on Miller and she gives him a ride home . Tragedy happens when there is a car crash Chris and Jenny were in a crash they were in the car together and they were having an affair Jonah and Morgan were at the hospital when they found this out they died and Morgan is crushed and hurt and doesn’t know what to do . Clara spends her dad’s funeral getting high with Miller her mom finds her and she’s pissed . Clara is so angry at herself cause she thinks her aunt and father dying is her fault . Jonah snaps one day and brings Elijah his son to Morgan saying he cant do this anymore cause Elijah isnt his kid its Chris’s kid what the hell . Clara knocks some sence in him and tells him to pick up his kid and Jonah does . Miller has a girlfriend but she ended up breaking up with him but then they get back together but Clara likes Miller but he keeps sending her these mix signals and she tells him to figure it out so he does and he breaks up with his girlfriend and him and Clara talk and kiss and they finally get together hes liked her since he was 15 . Jonah and Morgan have this moment again where they almost kiss . Miller and Clara work on film project together. Jonah kisses Morgan and clara walked in on them and thinks they were having an affair and then Clara calls Miller to have him come over cause she wants to have sex with Miller to make her mom angry I dont see the reasoning in that . Clara gets drunk and tells her mom she is the reason that her aunt and Dad are dead she asks clara the next day and Clara tries to hide back the tears but she tells her mom but Morgan told her that her dad was driving and then Clara asks why they were in the car together and figures it out they were having an affair she’s angry and sad she asks her mom to drive her to Miller and she does Morgan goes back to the movie theater and talks with clara . Jonah and Morgan talk and are together officially and Elijah says his first word . Clara and Miller show there film and it’s weird but funny and Jonah likes it . But then miller shows Clara his promposal and when he first fell in love with her it was sweet and adorable. Millers gramps has been joking he was leaving miller air but actually is air to land and he can go to his college he wants to now I loved this book .
Quotes:I wonder if humans are the only living creatures that ever feel hollow inside. I don’t understand how my body can be full of everything bodies are full of—bones and muscles and blood and organs—yet my chest sometimes feels vacant, as if someone could scream into my mouth and it would echo inside of me.
don’t know if Miller realizes what his attention (or lack thereof) can do to a person. When he looks at you, he does it in such a way that it makes you feel like the most interesting thing he’s ever seen. He puts his entire body into the look, somehow.
He’s got a sucker in his mouth, which isn’t unusual. I find his addiction to suckers amusing, but it also gives off a cocky vibe. I don’t feel like insecure guys would walk around eating candy as much as he does, but he always shows up to school eating a sucker and usually has one in his mouth at the end of lunch.
It’s unfair how one event . . . one second . . . can shake the world around you. Toss everything on its head. Ruin every happy moment that led up to that earth-shattering second.
He waves a hand toward Elijah. “He smiled for the first time tonight.” He pauses, as if what he’s about to say next is too painful to put into words. “Elijah—my son—has Chris’s fucking smile.”
For some reason, sadness in music eases the sadness in my soul. It’s like the worse the heartache in a song is, the better I feel. Dramatic songs are like a drug, I imagine. Really bad for you, but they make you feel good.
“I’ve never hated watermelon Jolly Ranchers. I only saved them because I knew they were your favorite.”
It makes me sad, because if there’s one thing Jonah Sullivan shouldn’t have to worry about, it’s the way I feel about him
“So? I guess you finally saw the video of when Miller fell in love with you?” I laugh and lean into Miller. “Your grandson is a romantic.” Gramps laughs. “No, my grandson is a nitwit. Took him three years to finally ask you out.” “Patience is a virtue,” Miller says.
