Summary-
A lyrical novel about family and friendship from critically acclaimed author Benjamin Alire Sáenz.

Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be

Review- This book was amazing I loved it , it had so many messages in this this book it did have a perks of being a wallflower feel . So this is a book about Ari he’s a very angry character so one summer when he goes to the pool he meets Dante who offers to teach him how to swim I loved these two characters so Ari and Dante start hanging out these two boys are very different but I loved them so much I also loved the families of these two boys . Ari doesn’t understand his father cause he really doesn’t talk he wants to get to know him but doesn’t know how his brother is in prison and no one will talk about it Dante loves drawing and he’s a very caring person and then the accident holy crap Ari saves Dante from getting hit by a car I mean who does that Ari’s legs get run over and he doesn’t want to talk about the accident . Dante gives Ari his sketchpad I thought that was sweet but Ari doesn’t want to look at it I never understood that weird Dante is going to be moving away for 9 months cause his dad got this job offer Dante sends Ari this letters and in one of them he tells Ari he’s gay and he doesn’t know how to tell his dad cause he doesn’t want to disappoint him . When Dante comes back Dante gets beat up for kissing a boy what a couple of douchebags and then Ari finds the guy and punches him . Dante kisses Ari as an experiment Ari says it doesn’t work for him total lies I mean you don’t kiss guys back your not into or in general if your not gay . When his dad confronts Ari and says in in love with Dante Ari starts crying cause he doesn’t want to admit it but we all know he is so after bowling one night he and dante go look at the stars and Dante doesn’t want to be friends with Ari cause it’s to hard cause he’s in love with him but then Ari kisses Dante I was crying at this point I loved this book so much I will be reading this book over and over again .

Quotes.
I took Dante’s hand and held it.
How could I have ever been ashamed of loving Dante Quintana ?

From the minute I’d met Dante , I had fallen in love with him . I just didn’t let myself know it , think it feel it . My father was right . And it was truth what my mother says . We all fight our own private wars.

My name’s Dante , he said. that made me laugh harder . sorry I said
it’s okay . people laugh at my name ,
No, no I said . see, it’s just that my name’s Aristotle .

there are worse things in the world than a boy who likes to kiss other boys .

Book Review: Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda Becky albertalli

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Simonverse, #1)Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 8-14
Summary – Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.

With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met.

Some of my favorite parts were the emails between Blue and Simon they were so cute .Simon wants to meet Blue but Blue isn’t ready yet . Simon isn’t out yet and he wants to tell people but he’s not ready Simon tells Abby first I think he told Abby first because she’s a new friend Where Nick and Leah he’s known forever . I Really thought I knew who Blue was going to be but I totally got it wrong Blue tells Simon that he knows who he might think he is . So Simon finally tells his family he is gay but Martin the freaking Jackass totally outs him on creak secrets what an ass I couldn’t stand his guy just cause Abby rejected him and then Martin tries to apologize to him but simon yells at him no you don’t get apologize being gay is my thing you took it from me I thought it was amazing Simon did that it was so heartbreaking . Simon gets a t-shirt on his locker from Blue and then Simon , Abby, and Nick go out to a gay bar and Simon flirts with this college guy oh my god drunk Simon is so funny . So Simon notices in the t-shirt Blue gave him that his number is in it so he emails Blue and tells him to go to the carnival I was so sure he wasn’t going show but he does he sits right next to him and it’s Bram this soccer guy that Simon always says is cute I was so happy that it was him they are so cute together they go to the grocery store and eat oreos and milk so adorable and then there officially dating they are so cute I love them together this book made me so happy I want to get my own copy soon .
Quotes-
And then I kiss him for real, and he kisses me back, and his hands fist my hair. And we’re kissing like it’s breathing. My stomach flutters wildly. And somehow we end up horizontal, his hands curved up around my back.

“I like this,” I say, and my voice comes out breathless. “We should do this. Every day.”
“Okay.”
“Let’s never do anything else. No school. No meals. No homework.”
“I was going to ask you to see a movie,” he says, smiling. When he smiles, I smile.
“No movies. I hate movies.”
“Oh, really?”
“Really, really. Why would I want to watch other people kissing,” I say, “when I could be kissing you?”

The way I feel about him is like a heartbeat — soft and persistent, underlying everything.”

“White shouldn’t be the default any more than straight should be the default. There shouldn’t even be a default.”

Book Review: ugly love colleen hoover

Ugly LoveUgly Love by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 6- 11

Summary When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Review- When Tate colins moves in with her pilot brother she meets a very unexpected person while trying to get into her apartment a drunk guy is laying on the door she tries to get past him but can’t she calls her brother corbin and he calls his friend Miles to help turns out Miles is the drunk guy she drags him in and brings him to the couch and he starts crying in his sleep about Rachel I was so heartbroken for him . The next morning he is staring at her and Tate isn’t a morning person so she shuts the door in his face which I thought was funny as Miles corbin and Tate are bringing up all her stuff from her car Tate and Miles re- introduce themselves so sweet. What I really loved about this book I just felt for these characters when we got to hear about Miles and what he was doing 6 years earlier .When he met Rachel when he fell for Rachel when he found out she was his dad’s girlfriends daughter he really loved this girl and I wanted to know what separated them I wanted to know why Miles hadn’t been with a girl in six years . But at thanksgiving he kisses Tate and then they decided to have a kind of neighbors with benefits cause they both work really hard Miles a pilot and Tate a Nurse but one of the funniest scenes in this book was when there at dinner and Tate’s mom is asking if he’s seeing anyone and she kind of thinks he is gay and Corbin thought it was this big secret and he is like I’m not gay I was laughing so hard cause he though Miles was gay for three years hahaha . So when Tate and Miles finally hook up wow so steamy . I didn’t actually like that he always kind of left her after I mean I get the whole no strings thing in the sense but Miles can’t even admit he likes her as a person and it made me so angry at times cause I’m like Tate this guy isn’t going to budge why are you with him. I mean after reading this I kind of get Miles a lot more he went though allot with Rachel when they found out they were pregnant they go to tell there parents but then we find out there already married oh god oh god . so I was like I can totally get if he has a kid and he’s hiding that from her but he won’t even tell her simple things from his past like nothing other Characters I loved were Miles’s best friend Ian and Cap the old man who worked in the building two different characters but totally worked so well in this story . So they keep hooking up and all that and she is I think try to get him to want something more but he doesn’t he can’t he says. So Rachel has the baby and it’s so cute and they are on there way home and they crash into a lake and oh god I was freaking out cause that must be how he got his scar holy crap he saves Rachel but he can’t get the baby he dies and I’m crying at this point and Rachel blames him and she leaves him . Oh hell I mean he’s been though a holy hell of a lot he lost his mother his son god What .And Tate really likes Miles and she knows he does to and she one time just snaps and he breaks down and wow I felt for him I mean Miles made me mad at times I wanted to shake him like go to her Miles she loves you and when she is moving out Ian is there and she tells him goodbye and cries going away and Corbin punches Miles which he really deserved and Ian is like if someone could take away the bad memories but it takes away the good would you do it and Miles is like maybe and Ian says that Tate has made a big impact and I really agree . He goes to see Rachel and she is happy she has a daughter and a husband she never thought she would be happy again but she learned to and Makes Miles see her daughter and he says you gave him a sister I cried then he goes to Tate and tells her he misses her and he will tell her about his past . I was so happy for them he takes tate and Cap in the plane to see the sunrise and then he askes her to move
in and marry him oh my god and then they hook up in the plane . They have a daughter and they name her after Cap which was so sweet I loved this book so much and I can’t wait to see how they do the movie .
Favorite Quotes-
“Love isn’t always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it’ll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you’re back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”

What’s your deal then ? I ask him . You have STD it’s the nurse in me . I have no medical filter . He laughs . Pretty damn clean , he says . He still doesn’t explain himself , though . It’s been six years since you kissed a girl, then why did you kiss me ?

If your Hand gets infected and you die , I’m denying any part in this . If my hand gets infected and I die , I’d be to dead to be you . Good point , I say
page 71

I don’t know if I can do this , Miles . I don’t know if I can fallow rule number two , Because I suddenly want to climb into your future more than I want to climb into the backseat with you.
Page 98

When life gives you lemons, make sure you know whose eyes you need to squeeze them in

Sometimes not speaking says more than all the words in the world.

“Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren’t even worth it. Without the beautiful, you’ll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.

Tate lays her head on my arm, and we both watch her.

Our daughter.

I love you so much, Sam.

I’m looking down at the perfection we created when it hits me.

It’s all worth it.

It’s the beautiful moments like these that make up for the uglylove.”

Book Review: this girl Colleen Hoover

This Girl (Slammed, #3)This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

February 25- May 5
There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS !

Review- I think this may be my second favorite of the series I loved this one so much hearing from Will’s POV from slammed .While their on there honeymoon was so cute there were some sad points though like when his ex girlfriend dumped him she was a bitch in point of retreat and she was in this girl . I loved seeing him see lake for the first time from his POV it was so sweet I loved him even more in this book especially the ending when they were in the car and listening to the Avett brothers who I now love and will is like it better not be Nicklback I was laughing . And when they went to the slam I loved the “Really long poem ” it was very good and when he kept the chocolate milk on the rocks it was so sweet .And we also find out that Gavin knew all along I think I love Gavin way more now cause he had to put up with Will though all of this . And the kiss awww so sweet and then it goes down hill down from there when he find out he’s her teacher. It was so bad and even hearing again was bad I read this one with audiobook and it made it even better I liked hearing from the honeymoon way better sometimes. Like when they agreed never to carve pumpkins with each other good .And the scene in the pool oh my god I really loved seeing what hell will was going though that it wasn’t easy for him and him finding out Julia has cancer I was crying more and when he preformed “This Girl ” one of my favorite poems he has done I mean other than the one about the Lake oh my god. When he confesses his feeling and she’s ‘kissing’ Javi and he wanted to kill him oh I wanted to also oh god and the moment of weakness come on will I know he wants to give her time when he was judging at the slam and she came up oh my freaking god he was like she loves me she loves me . I think the most awkward scene was the scene when Julia caught them together oh god but everything about this book was amazing. when they go home and celebrate with everyone and kirsten tells the boys about sex I’m laughing. And oh Eddie and Gavin are engaged so sweet the epilogue Lake is having her daughter and they name her Julia Kel gives will a letter from Julia it was so sweet it made me cry and Will does his final piece such a great series I loved everything about this series the characters the poems and the romance .

Quotes-
my final piece
We’re born into the world
As just one small piece to the puzzle
That makes up an entire life.
It’s up to us throughout our years,
to find all of our pieces that fit.
The pieces that connect who we are
To who we were
To who we’ll one day be.
Sometimes pieces will almost fit.
They’ll feel right.
We’ll carry them around for a while,
Hoping they’ll change shape.
Hoping they’ll conform to our puzzle.
But they won’t.
We’ll eventually have to let them go.
To find the puzzle that is their home.
Sometimes pieces won’t fit at all.
No matter how much we want them to.
We’ll shove them.
We’ll bend them.
We’ll break them.
But what isn’t meant to be,
won’t be.
Those are the hardest pieces of all to
accept.
The pieces of our puzzle
That just don’t belong.
But occasionally . . .
Not very often at all,
If we’re lucky,
If we pay enough attention,
We’ll find a
perfect match.
The pieces of the puzzle that slide right in
The pieces that hug the contours of our own
pieces.
The pieces that lock to us.
The pieces that we lock to.
The pieces that fit so well, we can’t tell
where our piece begins
And that piece ends.
Those pieces we call
Friends.
True loves.
Dreams.
Passions.
Beliefs.
Talents.
They’re all the pieces that complete our
puzzles.
They line the edges,
Frame the corners,
Fill the centers,
Those pieces are the pieces that make us
who we are.
Who we were.
Who we’ll one day be.
Up until today,
When I looked at my own puzzle,
I would see a finished piece.
I had the edges lined,
The corners framed,
The center filled.
It felt like it was complete.
All the pieces were there.
I had everything I wanted.
Everything I needed.
Everything I dreamt of.
But up until today,
I realized I had collected all
but one piece.
The most vital piece.
The piece that completes the picture.
The piece that completes my whole life.
I held this girl in my arms
She wrapped her tiny fingers around mine.
It was then that I realized
She was the fusion.
The glue.
The cement that bound all my pieces
together.
The piece that seals my puzzle.
The piece that completes my life.
The element that makes me who I am.
Who I was.
Who I’ll one day be.
You, baby girl.
You’re my final piece.”

“I wish I could explain how I feel, but nothing can explain this moment. Not a vase of stars. Not a book. Not a song. Not even a poem. Nothing can explain the moment when the woman you would give your life for sees her daughter for the very first time.”

“It’s not your bra. It’s our bra and I want it off.” I slip it off her, pulling her against me as I rub my hands down the length of her back, then around to the button on the front of her jeans. “And I want to take off our pants.”

She grins against my lips and slowly nods. “Okay, but hurry,” she whispers.

“I can be quick,” I assure her. “But I’ll never hurry.”

This poem is very long
So long, in fact, that your attention span
May be stretched to its very limits
But that’s okay
It’s what’s so special about poetry
See, poetry takes time
We live in a time
Call it our culture or society
It doesn’t matter to me cause neither one rhymes
A time where most people don’t want to listen
Our throats wait like matchsticks waiting to catch fire
Waiting until we can speak
No patience to listen

But this poem is long
It’s so long, in fact, that during the time of this poem
You could’ve done any number of other wonderful things
You could’ve called your father
Call your father
You could be writing a postcard right now
Write a postcard
When was the last time you wrote a postcard?
You could be outside
You’re probably not too far away from a sunrise or a sunset
Watch the sun rise
Maybe you could’ve written your own poem
A better poem
You could have played a tune or sung a song
You could have met your neighbor
And memorized their name
Memorize the name of your neighbor
You could’ve drawn a picture
(Or, at least, colored one in)
You could’ve started a book
Or finished a prayer
You could’ve talked to God
Pray
When was the last time you prayed?
Really prayed?

This is a long poem
So long, in fact, that you’ve already spent a minute with it
When was the last time you hugged a friend for a minute?
Or told them that you love them?
Tell your friends you love them

…no, I mean it, tell them

Say, I love you

Say, you make life worth living
Because that, is what friends do
Of all of the wonderful things that you could’ve done
During this very, very long poem
You could have connected
Maybe you are connecting
Maybe we’re connecting
See, I believe that the only things that really matter
In the grand scheme of life are God and people
And if people are made in the image of God
Then when you spend your time with people
It’s never wasted
And in this very long poem
I’m trying to let a poem do what a poem does:
Make things simpler
We don’t need poems to make things more complicated
We have each other for that
We need poems to remind ourselves of the things that really matter
To take time
A long time
To be alive for the sake of someone else for a single moment
Or for many moments

Cause we need each other

To hold the hands of a broken person
All you have to do is meet a person
Shake their hand
Look in their eyes

They are you

We are all broken together
But these shattered pieces of our existence don’t have to be a mess
We just have to care enough to hold our tongues sometimes
To sit and listen to a very long poem
A story of a life
The joy of a friend and the grief of friend
To hold and be held
And be quiet

So, pray
Write a postcard
Call your parents and forgive them and then thank them
Turn off the TV
Create art as best as you can
Share as much as possible, especially money
Tell someone about a very long poem you once heard
And how afterward it brought you to them”

Oh my God!” Julia yells. “Are you kidding me, Will? Don’t help her put her clothes back on! I’m standing right here!”

What the hell am I thinking?”

This girl. This baby girl is my life. Her mother is my life. These girls are both my life.

Review- The second and last book made me laugh and cry at the same time I loved seeing Andrew and Camryn engaged happy and Camryn pregnant . Everything was going so well they are having a girl they are living in Galveston but Camryn isn’t happy there so they are heading back to Camryns home and they are going to look for a place to live . They have a kind of baby shower and Camryn is having pains and I felt like something bad is going to happen I just knew it and it did she lost the baby. I cried for her and Andrew is vey gental with her and Camryn doesn’t like that and then Camryn starts using pills and they go visit Adain and Michelle and it looks like Adain and Michelle are having problems all they do is work which kind of sucks . But Camryn and Andrew play at Adians bar they have a great time and then Andrew find out about the pills and then Andrew gets Asher to drive Andrew’s car down so they can go on there roadtrip which Camryn was reluctant of because of loosing Lilly but they go and it was some time. There was a crazy time like a really fucked up crazy . They go from winter through summer florida was a fucked up place they party with some people and it was fine and then they get drugged and some weird ass things go down like sexual things. And the next morning Andrew punches the hell out of people and they deserve it the only two normal people were the ones that helped them they leave Florida . But Andrew is still mad at himself cause he was sapose to protect Camryn he punches a tree. They head to new Orleans where everything started between them they go to the bar where they played Barton hall where they find out eddie died sad and they go to the bar where they played pool it was so great to relive some of those memories . They headed to Galveston to visit his mom and they get married eeek they head back to camryns home they find a place and it’s a small cute place Andrew gets headache’s again and I’m worried as much as Camryn so they go to the doctor and everything is okay but he still needs to be checked up on and it was an amazing book I loved every bit of it . I loved seeing flashbacks from the first book so cute . Camryn and Andrew finally had there baby they named her Lilly everything is great I loved how it ended with Lily at graduation that was so cool . This story was amazing these two books are with me forever .

Quotes-
I really do forget about everything . Because that’s what a moment like this does to you. It makes you feel something so small inside of something so massive that it’s beyond comprehension . It strips away all of your problems , all of your hardships , all of your worldly needs and wants and desires , forcing you to realize just how insignificant all of it really is . It’s like the Earth becomes completely silent and still, and all that your mind can understand or feel is the vastness of the universe and you gasp thinking about your place within it .
Who needs psychiatrists ? Who needs grief counselors and life coaches and motivational speakers ? Fuck all of that . just stare at the night sky and let yourself get lost in it every now and then.
page 277

“Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn’t, because we’ll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

I guess sometimes the greatest memories are made in the most unlikely of places, further proof that spontaneity is more rewarding than a meticulously planned life.

You’re like a philosopher with tattoos.”

“Dear Camryn,
I know you’re scared. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little scared, too, but I have to believe that this time around everything will be fine. And it will be.
We’ve been through so much together. More than most people in such a short time. But no matter what, the one thing that has never changed is that we’re still together. Death couldn’t take me away from you. Weakness couldn’t make me look at you in a bad light. Drugs and all the shit that comes with them couldn’t take you away from me. I think it’s more safe to say that we’re indestructable.
Maybe all of this has been a test. Yeah, I think about that a lot and I’ve convinced myself of it. A lot of people take Fate for granted. Some have everything they’ve ever wanted right at their fingertips, but they abuse it. Others walk right past their only opportunity because they never open their eyes long enough to see that it’s there. But you and I, even before we met, took all the risks, made our own decisions without listening to everybody around us telling us, in so many ways, that what we’re doing is wrong. Hell no, we did it our way, no matter how reckless, or crazy or unconventional. It’s like the more we pushed and the more we fought, the harder the obstacles. Because we had to prove we were the real deal.
And I know we’ve done just that.
Camryn, I want you to read this letter to yourself once a week. It doesn’t matter what day or what time, just read it. Every time you open it, I want you to see that another week has passed and you’re still pregnant. That I’m still in good health. That we’re still together. I want you to think about the three of us, you, me and our son or daughter, traveling Europe and Soth America. Because we’re going to do it. I promise you that.
You’re everything to me, and I want you to stay strong and not let your fear of the past taint the path to our future. Everything will work out this time, Camryn, everything will, I swear to you.
Just trust me.
Until next week…
Love,
Andrew”

“Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. It’s a special day, for Lily, for us, for everything the three of us stand for. Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn’t, because we’ll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

“For anyone who has ever had a moment of weakness. It won’t be painful forever, so don’t let it get the best of you.”

Review – 20 year old camryn Bennett has been though allot her boyfriend Ian died her other boyfriend cheated on her , her brother is in jail for killing someone in a drunk driving accident and her father cheated on her mother and they got divorced I mean that’s allot for one person . So after at bad night at a club where mostly Camry’s best friend’s boyfriend tries to force himself on her and when Camryn tries to tell Natalie she doesn’t believe her so Camryn just gets on a bus and goes . And then this is where me meet Andrew Parish who is my new book boyfriend like oh my god this guy is amazing he sings he has tattoos he plays guitar and abs hahah . Now Andrew is on the bus to see his dying father but when Camryn tells Andrew to lower is his music sparks right away I wanted them to be together I liked them when they were just friends Andrew is so protective of Camryn . They spend all this bus ride getting to know each other but without really giving out anything personal .until Andrew’s last ride where I was really sad I was like how are they going to be together now and then this creep in the bathroom almost rapes Camryn and she has a knife and I’m freaking out and then Andrew shows up and beats the crap out of this guy . And then Camryn tells Andrew the truth So Camryn and Andrew go visit his dad which I don’t think Andrew could handle then we meet his brothers I kind of found it funny that all of them start with an A Adian Andrew and Asher and Andrew’s father asks if she’s his Eurydice which is a Greek myth and Andrew has the tattoo and it stops at one place he says if he ever gets married he wants the other half I thought that was adorable so him .Aand Cameryn hit the road and Andrew wants Cameryn to live to really experience life . There were allot of messages in this book that I loved I just want everyone to read this . There were some sexy times in this book and I thought they were nice but Andrew refused to sleep with Cameryn for stupid reason . And Cameryn told Andrew that she doesn’t think she really loved Ian that there is a difference with love and being in love and that when she’s with him she doesn’t think about him anymore and she thanked him for feeling alive for the first time. Yeah this book tore my heart apart but it did make me laugh at times. when Andrew’s father died I was sobbing cause they were crying and Andrew wants to leave Cameryn and I’m like Andrew just stop NO WAY he writes her a letter but she’s there and he yells at her just tell me how you feel and she did and it was beautiful and then they sleep together . They also preform at bars and it was amazing now when they get to Texas Cameryn is worried that this will be the end but Andrew wants to travel the world together . He introduces her to his mom so sweet and then we find out he has a brain tumor and i’m like NO NO NO he can’t die and I’m sobbing and cameryn doesn’t know . And then he has a seizure and I’m like oh crap no no no he goes the the hospitable and Asher is there and tells Cameryn about the tumor and he says it doesn’t look good and then she calls Natalile to come and she does and he gets the surgery but he falls into a coma and he might not come out and I’m sobbing again and then his mom gives camryn this letter . And it broke me and then it goes to two months later and I was so worried cause she was at a grave but Andrew is okay and she got the tattoo to match his and she’s pregnant and he asked her to marry him and oh my god this is amazing this is one of my favorite books ever I’m onto the last one now .
Quotes-
I learned a long time ago that it’s my future and my life and I can’t make myself live the way someone else wants me to live . page 70

Just that dwelling and is bullshit he says . You dwell on the past , you can’t move forward . Spend too much time planning for the future and you just push yourself backwards , or you can stay stagnant in the same place all your life . His eyes lock on mine live in the moment he says as if making a serious point , where everything is just right , take your time and limit your bad memories and you’ll get wherever it is your going a lot faster and with less bumps in the road along the way. page 90

“I know you lost your partner in crime, but…I want YOU to be MINE. Maybe WE should travel the world together, Camryn…I know I can’t replace your ex–”
“Andrew…it was always you.”

He’s gawking at me when I open the door.
Damn girl he says looking me over , what the hell are you trying to do to me ? I look down at myself , still trying to wake up the rest of the way and realize I’m in those tiny cotton white shirts and varsity tee with no bra on underneath. Oh my god , my nipples are like beacons shining through my shirt! I cross my arms over my chest and try not to look him in the eyes when he helps himself the rest of the way inside. I was going to tell you go get dressed , he goes on grinning as he walks into the room carrying his bags and the guitar, but really , you can just go like that if you want . I shake my head , hiding the smile creeping up on my face .

Uh , there is no way -. I notice his grin has changed into something more ‘crafty school boy ‘ and I look down , realizing my arms are no longer covering my nipples poking so proudly through the thin fabric of my shirt . I let out a spat of air and my mouth falls open . Andrew!
He lowers his head with false shame , but it just makes him appear more devious the way he looks back up under hooded eyes at me .
He is so fucking hot…
Hey you’re the one who’d rather complain about the ground rules than protect your girls from my eyes- I should warn you they have a mind of their own .
Yeah I bet they aren’t the only things on you with a mind of their own.
Page 167
“The Heart always wins out over the mind, The heart, although reckless and suicidal and masochist all on its own, always gets it way. The mind may be what’s best, but I don’t give a shit what my mind is telling me anymore. Right now, I want to live in the moment.”

“Y’know, I’ve always hated that expression: Others have it worse than you do; I guess if you want to look at it in a competitive way, sure, give me welfare over blindness any day, but it’s not a fucking competition. Right?”
Is he asking me because he wants to know how I feel, or was that his way of telling me how it is
and hoping I get it?
I just nod.
“Pain is pain, babe.” Every time he calls me ‘babe’ I notice it more than anything else he says.
“Just because one person’s problem is less traumatic than another’s doesn’t mean they’re required to hurt less.”

Book Review: Burn for burn jenny han

Burn for Burn (Burn for Burn, #1)Burn for Burn by Jenny Han

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book review – Burn For Burn *Spoilers* February 5- 16 Summary – Postcard-perfect Jar Island is the kind of place where nobody locks their doors at night, where parents can sleep easy, knowing their daughters are tucked away safe and sound in their beds. But bad things can happen, even to good girls . . . and sometimes, the only way to make things right is to do something wrong. Lillia used to trust boys, but not anymore. Not after what happened this summer. And she’ll do whatever it takes to protect her little sister from the same fate. Kat is over the rumors, the insults, the cruel jokes made at her expense. It all goes back to one person–her ex-best friend. Someone needs to teach her a lesson, and, with Lillia and Mary behind her, Kat feels up to the task.Four years ago, Mary left Jar Island because of a boy. But she’s not the same girl anymore. Now that she’s got friends who have her back, he’s going to be in big trouble.Three very different girls who come together to make things right. Will they go too far?

Review-Lilia , Mary and Kat are three different girls there not friends Lilia and Kat use to be but that was a long time ago but Lila , Mary and Kat are done waiting for Karma to catch up on the people who wronged them they decide to do it themselves So all three of them want revenge on three separate people Lila on Alex cause apparently he’s hooking up with her sister . Rennie cause She keeps badmouthing Kat they use to be best friends and Mary Reave who is a jackass and I hated him . Mary left years ago Reave use to pick on Mary she was bigger back then he called her big easy what piece of garbage what I liked about this book was the revenge even though in the end it kind of didn’t work out very well . Rennie she’s kind of a bitch on the last night of summer they met these guys on the beach and they end up going to these guys house for a party after they threw a party for Alex and Lila lost her virginity to one of those guys and Rennie let one of the guys she is a terrible friend . Kat and Alex hung out all summer but then she sees Alex and Nadia Lila’s younger sister what a pervert so then end up starting on Alex they take his poems mess up his skin it was kind of harmless knowing that he wasn’t actually hooking up with Nadia . When we found out why Mary really wants to take out Reave I wanted to punch him in the face and he’s a character he treated Mary like garbage he made her feel like they were friends but when they were around other people he acted like a jerk she tried to kill herself when she was younger what a terrible person so at homecoming they make sure Rennie doesn’t win and they drug Reave which turns out bad he fall off the stage and seizes HOLY CRAP and then he whispers big easy and then Mary screams and sets the electricity what is with her is she a witch or something I loved this book .

Book Review: we were liars E. Lockhart

We Were LiarsWe Were Liars by E. Lockhart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

January 24- 28

Summary – A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.

Review – Let me start out by saying this book was amazing the writing was poetic I loved this book . So I went in knowing this book was going to shock me and oh it did .

Cadence Joghney johnny Miren and gat are the liars . Every summer they spend it at st.clair home they have fun they spend together. candence falls in love with gat but something happends something big at summer 15 that no one will tell cadence . And she’s trying to figure it out what happened that summer when she comes back for summer 17 the st. claire house has been redone the gradfather is loosing this brain and cadence has these migrains that hurt her head and sometimes she wants to die they hurt so bad . Now I didn’t guess what the big thing was I thought someone hurt her or something but memories start coming back to her . The aunts fight over things in the house cadence gives away allot of her stuff. She wants to start over. Some things I didn’t like I really didn’t like most of this family execpt for the liars . The grandfather was power hungry and trying to control everything he was a jerk to gat cause he was another color ,what the heck and cadence’s mother was trying to keep gat and cadence away from each other . the grandfather even threatened his daughter carrie that if he married ed she would be cut off that’s kind of sick . when they decide to do this big thing to set fire to the place to keep people in the family from fighting I thought it was kind of nuts . In the end the dogs died in the fire I cried at that they started . It was bad and then cadence is crying and then she remembers the big thing THEY DIED all execpt from her . Now were they ghost or hallucinations not really sure but I was shocked but they were there for her when she needed them most I cried at the end this book was amazing .

Summary- The last person seventeen-year-old Eleanor Livingston wants to see on the elevator—let alone get stuck with—is her ex-boyfriend Travis, the guy she’s been avoiding for five months.

Plagued with the belief that when she speaks the truth, bad things happen, Elly hasn’t told Trav anything. Not why she broke up with him and cut off all contact. Not what happened the day her father returned from his deployment to Afghanistan. And certainly not that she misses him and still thinks about him everyday.

But with nowhere to hide and Travis so close it hurts, Elly’s worried she won’t be able to contain her secrets for long. She’s terrified of finally revealing the truth, because she can’t bear to watch a tragedy befall the boy she still loves.

Review – Elly has given up talking to Travis after what happened with Honesty until they get stuck in a elevator and there stuck talking about the past together . Elly is in love with Travis but he’s dating Honesty Elly’s best friend , Elly thinks every time she speaks bad things happen to the one’s she loves she also says allot of childhood songs like bubble gum bubble gum . Book Review: in real life Cory doctorow

In Real LifeIn Real Life by Cory Doctorow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

November 16-16

Summary – Anda loves Coarsegold Online, the massively-multiplayer role playing game that she spends most of her free time on. It’s a place where she can be a leader, a fighter, a hero. It’s a place where she can meet people from all over the world, and make friends. Gaming is, for Anda, entirely a good thing.

But things become a lot more complicated when Anda befriends a gold farmer – a poor Chinese kid whose avatar in the game illegally collects valuable objects and then sells them to players from developed countries with money to burn. This behavior is strictly against the rules in Coarsegold, but Anda soon comes to realize that questions of right and wrong are a lot less straightforward when a real person’s real livelihood is at stake.

From acclaimed teen author and digerati bigwig Cory Doctorow and rising star cartoonist Jen Wang, In Real Life is a sensitive, thoughtful look at adolescence, gaming, poverty, and culture-clash.

Review- Anda has started playing Coursegold it’s an online game is getting payed to kill this gold farmers until she meets a Chinese kid who is in trouble in real life what I loved about this story was the art I love the drawings and that Anda is not a typical girl this was a very enjoyable story about gaming and friendship until she gets banned from the game for getting money which is against the rules she helps out the kid and gets back into the game and officially joins the guild I highly suggest you read this graphic novel

Book Review: crossing the line katie mcgarry

Crossing the Line (Pushing the Limits, #1.1)Crossing the Line by Katie McGarry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

November 12- November 12

Summary – Katie McGarry captivated readers with her “riveting, emotional”* Young Adult debut, Pushing the Limits. In this gripping novella, she tells the story of Lila and Lincoln, who discover that sometimes it’s worth crossing the line for love…

Lila McCormick, Echo’s best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

Review – Lila is going to Florida for college and she thought someone was going to be coming with her but it turns out no Lincoln isn’t he lied to her Lincoln and Lila have been writing letters for two years when they met at Eco’s brother’s funeral and Lincoln’s brother died also they’ve fallen for each other Lila is still scared to go alone but when Lincoln comes all the way to make up with Lila she slams the door in his face but she was happy he brought her purple flowers her favorite when she sees someone she ends up calling Lincoln people think’s she nuts but it was a prank by her ex and she’s ready to get even Lincoln and Lila go stalk them get paintball them I loved that scene so funny I loved this novella it was so cute I love Lila and Lincoln as a couple . Lincoln had to go through allot to get where he was and so did Lila she was afraid to be alone they work for each other I do recommend you read this story but read pushing the limits first .

favorite quotes – If it wasn’t for Noah, Echo would need me more… she would still be insecure, she would still be obsessing over the scars on her arms. She possibly wouldn’t have recovered her memory of the night she got them. If it wasn’t for him, she wouldn’t be moving on with her life. Damn him for being a great guy.”

“The entire sky erupted into hundreds of streaks of light. I never felt so alive. I wished that you were here with me or me with you. But I think you were. Call me crazy, but it was a moment, Lila, and I’m glad I shared it with you. Even if it was from a couple hundred miles away. ~Lincoln

“Her kiss is soft and warm-inviting. We both explore, a hesitant dance as we glide over lines neither of us imagined crossing.”

Summary – From the moment she stepped foot in NYC, Addison Stone’s subversive street art made her someone to watch, and her violent drowning left her fans and critics craving to know more. I conducted interviews with those who knew her best—including close friends, family, teachers, mentors, art dealers, boyfriends, and critics—and retraced the tumultuous path of Addison’s life.
